Done this hike many times, it is the best hike in PA.

Very beautiful,we cost three hours walking this trail.

This is a beautiful hike. Definitely more moderate than hard. There are so many waterfalls! Only thing is even on an unseasonably cold, cloudy, and a little drizzly/snowy day the trail was fairly crowded.

the waterfalls are beautiful and this hike is a must if you love waterfalls! I added in the old beaver damn loop for an extra 4.5 miles and for some seclusion (there's nothing special to see in this loop, but it was very nice and quiet) the only down side to this hike is the falls trails get very busy

One if my fav local trails. Love the falls!

They should rename this trail and call it, "The Stairmaster" cause that's exactly what it is!

If you live nearby you must do this hike! The falls are stunning! The trail is well maintained, and while there are a few steep parts, there are stairs the entire way up. Because of that, would rate this as easy to moderate. We took our dogs. The only downside was that everyone on the trail had their dogs out too. Took us about 3 hours. It was a lovely afternoon outing. Can’t wait to come back this summer.

Beautiful scenery and good trails with elevation gain/loss.

Great trail, starts out as an exercise from the bottom. Once you’re at the top it’s peaceful with beautiful scenery and no one else for miles.

We nailed it and went during the worst weather ever! but this trail is sheltered somewhat and the rain/fog didn't effect us much! Made the colors pop in our pictures too :) Eat at the Rickett's Glenn Hotel...YUMMO! Get the potato thing - it was delicious!

Traction needed for much of the hike on the way up. The hike on the way up was very scenic along waterfalls, the hike down was incredibly boring logging path with no views and very wet.

In Aug 2016, we camped here with our family of ten and hiked over 15 mi in this park. The waterfall trail is amazing. Steep. Slippery. And gorgeous.

This is my number one all-time favorite trail, I've hiked it probably 20 times or more since I first discovered Ricketts Glen in 2000. Unfortunately the word is out and yes, in the summer it is SLAMMED with people, so don't expect any pristine people-less photos unless you're very very patient. Instead, go in the early spring when the wildflowers abound, go in November when you can feel fall slipping into winter, and go in the winter too! In January or February, starting from Adams Falls on Rt 118 and heading up toward Waters Meet when the waterfalls are frozen is totally amazing. I shouldn't even be telling you my secrets because I don't even want you there, I want to keep this jewel all to myself. On second thought...the Falls Trail is super lame, so stay away!

The views are absolutely spectacular. The only part that I disliked and could really ruin somebody’s hike is the amount of people there. Would be great for colder weather would decrease the foot traffic

This is a great hike.

Just an FYI for others going in winter. the Falls trail is closed unless you have crampons, rope and an ice axe. You have to register in the main office.

good hike with scouts. starting to get icy so beware

This is one of if not my all time favorite hike. If you go early in the morning you can have the trail all to yourself.

This hike is beautiful but most spectacular in the fall and the waterfalls continue to amaze me. The steps and rocks can get a little slippery when wet and with leaves. Good hiking shoes are recommended. In comparison to other hikes I would rate it moderate. This will always be one of my most favorite hikes.

Beautiful fall hike! Go early in the day, less crowded. Waterfalls don't disappoint.

Beautiful place !!
I will be back on summer time

Such amazing views and a great workout! Picked a beautiful Thursday in November to go and it wasn't too crowded.

My wife and I hiked the falls trail on Saturday. The trail was very crowded and many groups were very slow to get around. We were there not just the beauty of the falls but for the hike too. Most of the large groups were mostly near the top by Lake Rose parking and Falls trail from beach parking lot #2. Many were not prepared for this kind of hike, like sandals, flip flops, dress shoes and dress pants. After Waters Meet we came across more serious hikers whom came up from Rt 118 trail head. Overall love the trail but not the crowd. We will be doing it again. Note: Hiking shoes or boots are a good thing for the steep stairs of rock.

This trail is absolutely gorgeous. The falls are stunning. I took my two children with me so that we could enjoy a beautiful fall Saturday while they're off from school for the weekend. The foliage was quite a sight. The only downfall to going on a Saturday was that the amount of other hikers was just too dense for my comfort with my children there. I spent much of the time stressed over worrying whether or not another adult would knock them down off of some of the steep, narrow passageways alongside the falls. You kind of have to wait your turn and hope that none of the tourists are thoughtless enough to make the kids hike on the cliff side. Thank goodness my girls are seasoned hikers and their comfort level was high. I think we'd have had a better time on a weekday! We'll be back during the Spring to try it on a less crowded day! The trail is worth the hour drive. Just not the crowds.
Tip.. definitely wear proper footwear!

Breathtaking views!

Beautiful waterfalls but the trail was very congested. We were literally stuck behind little traffic jams at certain points. Avoid the weekends!
