The Spillway Trail is a very nice trail that is going to get a make out in 2020 and an expansion also.. You have several starting points on the current trail, but I prefer to start off Fries Rd. parking area and head north till you get to Stewart’s Bay on the left right before the trail would cross the road to the eventual new section which will travel behind Crooked Paddle Restaurant.... that gives you 2.4 miles, then turn around and head back.. There are numerous spur legs that shot down into the woods and to the lake, that you can take side adventures on. The trail is virtually flat, easy to walk, peddle, jog, run, or even push a big wheel stroller on, also good to walk pets on... Grass covered on the old rail road bed, but they plan to change that once the new section is added heading east. You can stop at the Spillway area and use the bathroom facilities or even see and feed the fish... You will enjoy the walk and the amazing places to take pics all along the trail... bugs can be an issue in the mid to late day, so take spray...

Nice trail with several surprises... some sections need cleaned up, but overall it’s a trail that you can hike and enjoy.. Mostly in the woods, along Pymatuning Lake, we encounters a few small trees down, but again, it’s something that can be clean and fixed... I really enjoyed the wooded feeling of it, the scenery and the wooden decks made by either the locals or the park to go over the marshy areas... There’s another leg of the trail that takes you behind the park cabins, but we missed the turn and that might be because it was overgrown and we turned right onto another leg... Totally worth checking out and walking..

Great trail, lots of wonderful views of the lake, wetlands, wildlife and wooded sections... take the little path in the wooded section up the hill to the bluff looking out north on the lake... This trail is actually longer if you want to go south from the start, but we focused on the northern end where all the lake views are

It's not a trail. It's a walk across the Causeway and back. I've done it many times. You have to really watch the cars riding on the Causeway as well as the cars parked along it. The view of Pymatuning Lake is aweome.

Decent trail. Great scenery.

Big lake, not much "resort lake culture". Lots of fishers and RVs, good family location, not much else going on in the area ... agricultural, farming, archery and shooting.

This is located in the center section of the lake, great for biking or walking... it’s all out in the open, no shade, but it’s all about the lake view and looking north and south... You need to be aware of the car traffic on the Causeway, but overall, it’s makes for a great ride...

Another nice trail around within the Pymatuning State Park, this one is over in Ohio, but easy to get to and find... parking across the street, the entrance is on the corner of the cross roads... Nice trail, a few muddy sections, definitely can be buggy in the evening as sections are back by water... but bugs are part of any trail.. Heavily wooded but a nice trail to walk and enjoy... once you get out, you can walk down to the lake also and get some nice pics...

This trail is located on the Ohio side off Padanaram Rd,... there is easy parking along a yellow section on the right... This was once an old camp ground on the north end, and now is an “Unofficial Trail”... the State Park is working to make it an official trail, and better groomed. Even as it is now, it’s nice to walk, but take a stick to knock spider webs down in the morning, and to use to push some overgrowth out of your way... You will also have to step over some down trees too... Once you get back in, there are some nice views of the lake to see, so try it but know ahead of time that it is a work in progress. Don’t do this trail after a hard rain... wait a few days for it to dry out or wear good boats to walk through some muddy sections

This makes a nice bike ride, motorcycle ride or even a car ride to take you around the northern end of the lake.. The ride has a few spots were you go from paved road to gravel road, so keep an eye open for it... There are a few spots where you can check out the lake, off Phelps Rd. or Padanaram Rd., worth the diversion to go see and enjoy the beauty of the lake... Check it out in any mode if transportation and enjoy the lake region.

Another great bike ride on the northern end of the lake... this large loop offers lots of nice places to see and allows you to enjoy a nice bike ride, or even do it on a Motorcycle or Car.... lots of hidden places that you can roll back in and see the lake and take pics too...

Great bike ride for those that like a moderate length ride on your bike.... or even if you want to take a car ride and see places within the lower end of the lake and the state park area. Lots of scenery to see, lots of places to take a picture too.. and if you’re not familiar with the southern end of the lake, then this will get you around..

Gravel and grass flat path along spillway. Mostly shaded after first 1/4 mile. Nice views and no people on a Sunday morning at 9: am.
