Nice little out and back hike along a portion of the AT This out and back hike heads uphill at the beginning past several cabins. It's easy to follow the white blazes. There are some flat rocks after a mile or so where you can sit and enjoy a snack and some water. The turnaround point is at the bridge crossing Tom's Run. The stream is nice and is a great place to soak your feet if you're hiking during the summer. Just before you reach the stream you'll see another trail (blue blazes) going off to the left. That will take you to the Sunset Rocks Overlook at the top of the ridge.Show more

This is the last 15k of the entire 50k Ironmaster's Challenge. There are many miles of trail that have no blazes or old painted over blazes. It's very easy to get lost out here without a GPS. The first part of this trek is on the Appalachian Trail and leads up to a beautiful vista where you overlook a reservoir.Show more
