The 968-acre Parker Dam State Park offers old-fashioned charm and character. A scenic lake, rustic cabins, quaint campground and unbounded forest make Parker Dam an ideal spot for a relaxing vacation. For wilderness explorers, Parker Dam is a gateway to the vast expanses of Moshannon State Forest. You can walk through recovering tornado ravaged woods, backpack into the 50,000-acre Quehanna Wilderness, mountain bike to your hearts content or enjoy quiet solitude searching for elusive Pennsylvania elk.

Beautiful little hike. Took my kids after school on this trail and fished a little on Laurel Run. Before continuing down the trail..
The trail is well maintained, although some of the yellow blazes are wearing off. It is only a little over a mile long, but it intersects with skunk trail if you are interested in seeing more of the area.

Clearly marked, easy trail, excellent for kids! Took my 4 boys on this trail after school (ages 7, 4, 2, 2) and all four of them want to do it again. I would say if taking this trail in the spring or after a good rain fall expect to get your feet wet, unless you're wearing boots. Beautiful trail!
