The 5,286-acre Nockamixon State Park is in the rolling hills of scenic Bucks County, close enough to Philadelphia for a day trip, but far enough away for a vacation. Tohickon Creek, Three Mile Run and Haycock Run feed the 1,450-acre Lake Nockamixon, which is a rest stop for migrating waterfowl and a destination for boaters and anglers. Visitors can stay the night in a cabin or enjoy the many activities of the park for the day. Popular activities are picnicking, visiting the pool, hiking, biking and boating.

kayaking I love it for walking in the trail is ok.

I would do it again but definitely when the ground dries! Today I sank up to my ankles in the mud, so I wouldn't go right after any good amount of rainfall. also this an area of hunting be sure to one stay on the path red dots and signs help to guide you but also wear some orange or at least bright colors for you and your pets. I would love to do this trail on horse back its very pretty even when it's a muddy mess. I will also say if you're not very comfortable going alone don't most parts are like a deer trail path not a stone path like alot of trails I've been on.

The trail was awesome! I hit the Hammer and Cold Run trails with my girlfriend on bikes. Great time! Beautiful scenery and everyone was friendly. The trails were exciting and offered a variety of obstacles, sights, and speed. Be cautious of mud, rocks, and tree roots especially when wet. We will definitely be coming back to hit the southern trails. Maybe even hit the same trails because they were so enjoyable lol.

I finally registered an account for the sole purpose to warn others from wasting their time here. Beyond muddy after the wet summer we have had, not one or two spots, for miles. Road noise, boat noise, overgrown in the spots not muddy and very buggy. To top it off, not scenic despite being lakeside. Nothing to make it worth the trouble-letdown!

I hiked the J walk and South Park sections of this Trail. Came up at 7.5 with the Eastern Loop still to do. So I think this is actually more like 10 miles. The jaywalk is easy to moderate. The South Park though is more along the lines of moderate to difficult. It's heavy Rock Trails reminds me of the Appalachian trails in Pennsylvania. Some beautiful scenery and Midway through I found a surprise at one tree. I don't want to give away the surprise so you would have to see it for yourself. It's on the South Park Trail. All in all, this was a great hike and especially challenging since it is geared more toward mountain bikers which means that the path is not level like most hiking trails. Lots of ups and downs, and curvy pants. It annoyed me at first, but I actually quite enjoyed it toward the end.

one note and update though. They closed off the road at the southern intersection of the South Park Trail and jaywalk Trail. so there is no access to the spillway. It's a shame because it looks nice, and they built additional fencing to keep people out. I could have probably gone around it, but I didn't want to take a chance on poison ivy or something else going through open Woods and the plethora of no trespassing signs kept me from going further.

one thing that did bother me a little bit about this Trail was the limited amount of rest points. There are two benches one Midway and one toward the end. But the Trail is so narrow that it makes taking a quick stop along the trail for a drink or snack quite difficult.

overall, great Trail for a single or couple hiker. Might be more difficult in large groups due to the width of the trail.

Great area to hike and fish

Took the Old Mill Trail from the gravel lot on Deerwood Lane to the river crossing and then through the woods to the Quarry Trail. Stopped for lunch with hammocks next to the lake and followed Quarry Trail back along the lake and back onto Old Mill Trail. Old Mill Trail was pretty muddy after a heavy rain on previous day, but manageable with waterproof hiking boots. Not a very scenic trail, but wide and well maintained. Frequent horse manure. Saw a few fishermen and other hikers, but not many. Old Mill Trail had pretty wildflowers and butterflies were abundant. Even the walk back along the lake didn’t afford many views. Nice trail, with gradual inclines, but not much to see.

Great hike. Deeper in the woods was a bunch of muddy spots but is drying out. Kids ages 13, 11 and 7 did the hike with no complaints! Good trail but can get turned around easily.

a scenic easy trail along the lakeside

Beautiful hike. I did not go to the mountain area due to Turkey hunting season but will definitely try next time. You can also go boating in this area. All the sailboats where a pleasure to watch.

easy hike. Trail loops for 5 miles. It's also used as a biking trail.

This trail is mainly used for cyclists so you have to be on the lookout if you don't want to get hit. The best part of the trail is when it comes out to the spillway. I always take a detour and walk across to get an awesome view of the lake.

The walk along the lake side is shaded, the other side is pretty sunny( bring sunscreen) Starts off paved, then leads into the forested trails.

The lake view was pleasant. Trail path was quaint and easy. The trail didn't have any major challenges. This trail is fun for little ones and dogs. We hiked along Elephant, Church and Mink trail which pretty much connects with each other. Did not get to hike the trails across the lake though. Rented cabin for the weekend. Beautiful in the fall.

Great with my dog. We were not prepared for creek crossing today, so we did small loop twice. Have enjoyed on horseback, as well. Can be muddy.

Nice trail, relatively easy though. Very limited parking at the trail head based on direction from all trails. Parked in lot 2 and had to take a side trail along the lake to get to the trail head. Trail is wide and horses use it, so watch out for the "biscuits". It was also muddy in quite a few spots. If you go after it rains, your gonna get very muddy.

This was a really nice, well-defined trail. We did it with our two dogs after doing Haycock Mtn first. We will be back to test out more of this trail.

This park is great for easy, beginning hikers. It is beautiful during all seasons, especially the autumn. Grab a map and do all the various trails they have (they have way more trails than the loop listed here :D). WARNING: Check for ticks, especially if taking your kanine friend! I pulled off 5 ticks just from my dogs head on the car ride home! GREAT PLACE FOR beginner KAYAKING :)

I've been coming to Nocamixon my whole life as it was a tradition for my dad and his dad that he passed on to share with me. I have done this beautiful trail many of times and each time gets more beautiful. Very peaceful.

Great for biking, not so much for hiking.

Path is very narrow, and everything from the obstacles to bumps in the road indicate it was for cyclists. Everyone was nice but all but one person was a cyclist and I started to feel like I was in their way.

Apart from feeling out of place the trail was incredibly beautiful, almost entirely in the woods and shaded, and easy to follow. I won't be walking it again but if I ever get comfortable doing off-road biking I will certainly be back. Highly recommend this one to cyclists.
