This is a beautiful county park. Highly impressive. Very well maintained. I usually walk wilderness trails but this was a nice change, listening to kids playing. Highly recommend!

I would not recommend this trail for hiking. There are spots where the trail is awesome and then there are spots that are awful. The trail is ruined by horse traffic. The trail should be labeled horses only or maintenance better.

This was quite a challenging trail... in a good way. Lots of up and down and mostly in densely wooded areas. Drawbacks were bugs, mud and how chewed up the path was from the horses. Great workout!

Very muddy. A better horse trail than hiking trail.

Took the Blue Trail to the orange Trail and went right and got on posted land then what left on the orange Trail ended up on horse Trail and posted land so I backtracked again and came back down the Blue Trail. it was muddy very poorly marked.

I like to take my dog on this trail. Easy trail for beginners.

sorry I don't mean to come from out of town and piss all over someone's favourite trail, however.....the perimeter trail sucks ass unless you are a MTN goat or love horse pucked up doubletrack

lots of fun to do the orange and blue.

Great trail, if you start on the paved path, lots of beautiful creek scenes, cover bridge. Once you hit the blue its a mile of uphill. You get a break before its uphill again. Then you get to the orange you are at the peak, its up and down. By the end I suggest tucking yourself into a ball and roll down the hill, your legs are useless by now

Awesome trail, a little rough in some areas from the horses. Major cardio and your legs will be jellified at the end, lots of elevation changes. Use the app and you won't get lost.

My son & I spent 6 hours hiking the perimeter trail. Scenic & challenging hike. Severely muddy from almost 10 straight days of rain so we expected & prepared for it. I do wish the trail was better marked. My only real "complaint" would be that the trail ends at the creek with no way to cross. It took about 1 hour of brutal backtracking to get to a place to cross. I will certainly do it again, and simply avoid the dead end.

My mom and I went on this trail for a quick hike this morning. It starts in a brutal open field that is not very well maintained, but if you follow the map on this app, you’ll find the trail head eventually at the top. Once you get into the woods, it’s a pretty decent trail for about a mile and a half. But then you’re right back walking on the paved trail with all the bikers. I’d go back, but I would rather do the perimeter trail and hopefully be in the woods for the full trail.

This is my local trail and hike it often. It’s one of the most poorly blazed trail ever. It’s common place to arrive at a 2 or 3 way intersection and have no clue where to go. Even most of the trailheads are easy to miss do to the lack of or badly faded blazes. Unofficial horse trails criss cross the park which adds to the confusion. Do you research prior, down load the pdf file of the trail from Washington county parks and use this app to help you. This park could be fantastic with miles of trail trails if they would blaze and maintain them.....don’t get me started on all the maintenance issues.

This is my favorite, go-to weekend hike. The trail is beautiful, but very poorly marked. If you are not familiar with the park and surrounding areas, then use this app! This loop may get confusing and leave you frustrated otherwise.

I couldn’t find this trail at all no marked trails

Nice enough trail, great workout. Like another reviewer said, the trail is VERY poorly marked, in areas....if I hadn't downloaded the AllTrails "interactive" map, I would have really been wandering a few times! I hiked it 2/18, and it was really muddy, but it had been a particularly wet week or so previous. I can imagine when there's a lot of horse traffic, it gets to be a mess. Lastly...the mileage and elevation figures are a bit low. My Garmin, which tends to be a bit "stingy" with the numbers, said it was 7.1 miles and 1380' of elevation gain.

We took the dog for a hike on a weekend afternoon. We entered the trail through the dog park where you are allowed to take dogs off leash. From there we did about an hour and a half of trail hiking through the wooded area connected to the dog park. It seems like a popular destination for dog walking and families. There are signs for horse trails, but we didn’t see any horses that day. We passed a few hikers and a good amount of people walking with their dogs along the way. Wear your repellent and stay covered up. Ticks are abundant in the area. Trails are well worn and easy to pick out. There are some steep and muddy areas.

While it is beautiful, the trails are not well marked. There are some old marks here and there and in clusters but not reliable in many parts.

Nice hike. The beginning needs more trail markers but it was still easy to navigate.

this is a great little park...but i agree with the others. the off road trails can be difficult to navigate because they lack the markers. i do a fair amount of trail running there which makes it fun because you dont know where youll end up. should be a volunteer group together to mark the trails. i go 1 - 2 times per week
