Great hike. Took about two hours at moderate pace. Make sure you have some water and hiking shoes preferable but sneakers are ok. Take a left at the loop to do more difficult section first. View worth the trip!

Nice easy hike after the initial rocky start. Better view and spirit than Beam Rocks.

Nice, mostly flat hike to a fantastic overlook. Roads to the trailhead parking lot are rough. I entered the GPS coordinates for the trailhead into my car's GPS, and it ended up taking me down a series of gravel roads until the road became someone's private driveway. I had to turn around and try a different direction until I was rerouted onto Laurel Summit Rd.

There is plenty of parking at trailhead. Trail is well marked and easy to follow. There are a lot of rocks on this trail. You will be stepping over/on them the entire hike. We started the hike at 8:30am and got to the shelter area around lunchtime. We ate our packed lunches in the shelter area and then headed back. It was a great day hike for November.

Fantastic in and out hike. This is my go to option when I have a few hours on a weekend or something. The view from the rocks is beautiful year round and the actual hike is very doable. Long stretches of laurel and rhododendron tunnels. Long stretches of ferns which look beautiful in the fall when they change to yellow. Grab a book and head out for a few hours on the rocks, but be careful for rattler snakes in the colder months, they sun themselves on the rocks!

Awsome view

Great trail! The loop is pretty rocky however, so be prepared to watch where your feet are falling, but the trail portion is well groomed and significantly less full of rocks, and the view at the overlook portion is absolutely fantastic, maybe one of the best overlooks in West PA and it blows away Beams Rocks for sure!

Great hike - went with kids (6 and 8 yr old) and they did great. If you are going with kids, recommend you go counter clock-wise (keep on wolf rocks trails and on the way back come thru wolf rocks loop). If you start out on wolf rocks loop, its a climb and would be difficult with younger kids.
Also while at Wolf Rocks keep an eye out for rattle snakes! You are in the wild and be alert!

This is a nice hike with interesting features of laurel (!:)), rock formations, crossing of small streams on wooden bridges. It's the LHHT so it's well blazed and maintained. Only saw one other person on the trail. You hear turkeys. Plenty of fungi this time of year with the rain we've had. Also, on this hike I didn't see a lake ....I think the lake folks see is towards mile marker 12 and 13.

I did this trail over the weekend it was very well marked, and easy to follow the loop. The trail itself is rocky in parts, but its nothing to rough at all mostly its a nice wide trail easy for anyone to hike. When you get to Wolf Rocks the view is nice and there are rocks you can climb on if you want to get a better vantage point. I would hike this again it was easy, fun, and worth the view.

Great views from lookout

Only did the Wolf Rocks Trail (not the connectors to Beam Rocks).
It's a great loop just over 4 miles and the overlook at the end is rewarding (and great spot to stop for lunch!). Took a little under 2 hours for the entire trail at a moderate pace. Very flat, and especially on the loop side there's quite a bit of rocks, but they make for an interesting terrain. I'd like to see it in the summer when everything is growing - looks like it would be beautiful! Hiked both on a frigid below zero day, and an unseasonably warm January day - both enjoyable.
If you're parked at the trailhead, be sure to take a quick walk to the bog as well while you're there (past the picnic area).

Rough terrain but I had a rich and rewarding experience being the longest trail I've conquered to date.

Decent trail. Plenty of beautiful creeks. No view of a large lake as someone's photo shows.

Very pretty view about 2.3 miles out. The trail is relatively flat as well which makes it an easy hike. There are sharp rocks and roots throughout the path, so wear something sturdy!

I don't know who or how the directions were made on how to get there from the "directions" option through the app I don't know but it is nowhere close to the trail

Many of the surrounding roads aren't well paved or are completely unpaved. We were short on time, so we parked at the gate on Rector Edie Road, which is the end of vehicle access on that road. From there, we walked on the "old" Rector Edie Road for about a mile before entering the smaller trail. (This route is much faster than entering Wolf Rocks Trail less than 1/4 mile up that same road.) The scenic point of the trail was a little less than a half mile from that entrance.

Pleasant view, even though all the trees were bare when we went. Our entire hike took about 1 hr and 45 mins to about 2 hrs.
