This is my "home" trail as it is in within walking distance from my house. In 11 years of hiking here, I've only come across other hikers 3 or 4 times. Lots of very interesting and rare plants and plenty of side trails to explore. Trail is fairly easy with some decent climbs. Expect lots of greenbrier and bugs in summer. Yes, the park is open in winter but you are definitely taking a risk with hunters as many do not care at all about the rules and this park isn't patrolled.
