Once an industrial complex for the fledgling United State of America, today French Creek State Park is an oasis for people and wildlife. Straddling the Schuylkill Highlands, the 7,730-acre park is the largest block of contiguous forest between Washington D.C. and New York City. The forests, lakes, wetlands and fields are a destination for the people of southeast Pennsylvania to hike, fish, camp and bike.

The trail was nice but very rocky. I would go back and hike it again. Miller’s point was an unexpected history lesson.

Good trail with dogs and daughter! Weekday morning- very peaceful and steady.

Very fun! Not too muddy.

This is a legit moderate hike, my 9 and 6 were challenged but no real issue. sadly you can't climb the fire tower. 8/10, good hike, nothing special in terms of scenery other than lovely forest! enjoy

I have been hiking this trail for many years. It is a great trail for a quick, after work, hike. It takes about one hour. Great work out and stress buster hike!

Great people hiking but trails so far have been very rocky. Beautiful place though .... just have to find the right trails for horses. And horseshoe trail is also washed out pretty bad...too many rocks for the horses to enjoy the ride.

this trail is 5.5 miles if you do the loop starting at the park road entrance. alltrails says it's 8.5, french creek says it's either 3 or 4 depending on what sign you read. it's 5.5 miles of mostly easy hiking with about 1/4 of it being rocky and/or a 30-40 degree incline. very nice nature walk. more interesting terrain than other trails in this park.

It was an extra mile to and from where this trail says to park. Part of the recorded trail is not actually on any trail. It was almost all uphill and very rocky. Most of this trail is not actually the Lenape trail which caused some confusion.

Great trail. Probably 80% of it being shaded. There’s a few trails near the shed road entrance to the Lenape trail that are overgrown but all the trail-blaze markings are clear.

Great hike, just FYI, french trail is not 6 miles as stated, it ended up as 9.2 following same GPS alltrails. This is a day off type of hike, so don't be on a schedule. A combination of buggy, muddy, Rocky, dry, flat, hilly, some mtb Trails, Jeep trails, Rocky steam beds. Water, good footwear.

easy trail with one moderate Hill climb, well forested so I was protected from both the sun and a brief shower. pretty boring overall but a nice walk in the woods for me and the pup.

This trail is more an easy trail or lightly moderate. Not challenging. Pretty flat. It is well maintained, with plenty of shade. Mixture of single track, gravel, etc. it’s nice, just not challenging. Plenty of lush greenery but not a lot to look at. We left trail to walk around lake a bit. Will look at their more challenging trails in the future

Great workout. I took the trail counter clockwise. The first 2 miles were nice and open. The next 2-3 miles are heavily grown in but still passable. The bugs were not too bad.

Trail was clearly marked, and I'm saying this as a novice. Lots of spider webs and web strands to run into, but this is peak spider season. Good elevation variations and variety of terrain. Will branch off to Raccoon Trail and Miller's Point next time.
