Nice moderate trail, parking is limited, the trail is along highways and parts of it could be rocky and there is three points with good views. Saw a couple of snakes on the trail, and moderate amount of mosquitoes.

One hell of a scenic drive. Nothing but trees and then expansive views. Definitely worth the trip

Highly recommend this trail especially if you have a dog. Went on 5/7 during the day and only saw people in the parking lot but not on the trail. Took my 12 year old doggo who loved to take in a dip in every body of water we found plus it was easy enough for him to complete. Saw some bear tracks and other animal droppings near the lake, lots of frogs, and the birds brought the place alive. Very well maintained and marked. Perfect for a trail run as well!

Awesome trail, very rocky so bring good boots and some walking sticks.

Nice leisurely trail. Take the Appalachian Trail (white markers) up and back for optimal views and terrain.

We hiked about half the trail. It's often very close to the road and one section of it, surprisingly, is a road. I was upset and embarrassed because there is no forewarning that there will suddenly be motorized vehicles on the trail. This trail would be much more suited to mountain biking than hiking.

Overall very nice hike!! Continued on the blue (kaiser) trail... instead of the connector. The “blue” trail on this map was different then in the actual park - as you can see from my recording. Walked back on the road to the parking lot. Beautiful viewpoint at the top about 4 miles in (:

Great views and not too heavily trafficked

Very nice lakes to hike around. To get to the 3rd lake, Crater Lake, the Orange Trail gets very tight steep and rocky in some parts. Decided to hike to backside of the 2nd lake, Hemlock Pond, definitely saw multiple bear droppings and a raccoon remains on the backside of Helmock Pond. This is bear country, be bear aware! But over all the trail is open and well defined. Some little "bunny hills" but not too bad. Bring bug spray, lots of gnats. The dog did the 7 mile loop with us!

Very long hike. Beautiful views.

Nice, easy trail along ghe creek, had my dog with me, ran out of day light to continue on to the very steep part at the end part of the trail, will have to come back and explore further, watch and check for ticks.

The view in the top is priceless!
