Great trail, but pure climbing. Only issue with the trail was that the path coming back down isn’t very well mapped out, I ended up getting off course about 2 miles before I realized I wasn’t on the actual trail anymore. The view at the top was amazing and surreal. Definitely recommend

Nice trek. Narrow, rocky path with the occasional scramble. Proper footwear is definitely suggested.

Walked this trail the same day I completed the Mount Tammany: Red Dot and Blue Dot Loop Trail. Recommend doing this second because Mount Tammany trail is a faster incline and more difficult. Parking is in short supply at both places so go early or try a weekday. Followed the AT to the top, not so bad. Awesome view of Mount Tammany and beyond. The side trail coming down is easy and basically a gravel path. This took me about 2.5 hours round trip.

Clean... very easy... large parking...a lot of people. I think If you get here early it would be better.

More challenging than I anticipated. There are some sections that are steep and technical, hand over hand scrambling. Bring plenty of water and good footwear. All ages, kids may need some help at the scrambles.

At 8:30am on a Friday morning, parking (at the foot of the trail) was available (small lot though; if full, you could probably park on the main street and walk to the start of the trail). Moderate at the start, then steep rocky incline to the top was difficult, but possible and worth it. Trail was well-marked, but research ahead of time and familiarity with the general expected shape of the trail was helpful. Recommend for the view!

This is a nice walk in the woods. I have no idea why it is rated moderate as it is easy with very little incline and well marked and wide trails. I added Crater Lake to the walk which was maybe another 1.5 miles round trip. There was one very nice view off the AT between the two lakes so I am glad I went to Crater Lake. Saw a rust colored lizard, some big deer, and a garter snake (I think). Nobody in the parking lot at 9:30 am on a Friday but a fair amount of cars there at noon.

Lots of extra trails that aren’t on the map but the main blue trail is very well marked. Got out early and didn’t see a soul until we were leaving.

Incredible hike. Awesome water falls, and views. Easy access to Pennsylvania's Tallest Waterfall. Check out my full write up with pictures and things to look out for. eastcoasthiker.com/trails/raymonskillfalls

This is a quick trail. It’s 2.5 miles in and 2.5 miles out. I took the scenic trail on the way back. It’s mostly shaded with not too much incline. Took me under 2 hours to complete. I only give it 2 stars because it’s an easy trail rather than moderate and I’ve seen better views. Although it’s easy to navigate and a great way to hike through the wilderness with only a couple hours on hand.

the route saved with this trail is a bit questionable. I will try to suggest an edit to see if the moderator can tweak the route. I started at the paking lot near Blue Moutain Lake and the Blue trail turns right BEFORE the route did. (this turn in question on the map is the first right hand turn where there is a pretty long, straight section where you are walkign parallel to the Blue Moutain Lake. I would suggest to actually make the turn where the Blue trail turns according to the blazes on the trees. You will be 'off the trail' if you are following the route, but in the end, your route and the saved route will come back together. The next call out is the spot at the far end of the loop where you just completed the couple switch backs along the 'woods Road' section. THe turn you are looking for is BEFORE the stream. If you rock-hop across stream, you will have missed your turn. Once you spot the little pile of stones that is your visual marker of the tun, the trail on the way to the AT is a little over-grown, and not blazed, but there is a good beaten path to follow.

Got some beautiful views! Very steep uphill hands and knees section near the beginning after we saw the coal mine, but there may have been an alternate route that we missed. The Coppermine trail was the most challenging - longer uphill stretches but not super steep. Got rocky and flatter along the AT and the Kaiser trail was a nice gradual downhill.

Only gave it three stars because I feel like there are better trails in the area. But overall beautiful views. Make sure you wear good shoes as the AT portion is rocky! Also careful on the road to the trails - I came out to a hole in my tire!
