Trail was well worn, offered scenic vista , very rocky in places, just be aware of your feet. Shady, but open and airy. Had nice resting areas. Well maintained. Would like to have better signage for directionally challenged people ... where trail heads come out to which parking lots. Maps are available and very helpful. Nice to have s shorter loop trail available. I loved it!

Nice quick hike for an arrival day to the area. Wear hikers as it is very rocky, but I wouldn’t call it a scramble at all. Saw a rattlesnake which was kind of cool!

I really liked this trail, easy to follow extremely beautiful scenery at the lookouts. I hiked it Saturday evening july 19th 2019 around 7pm. Bugs were not bad at all sunny around 85 degrees high humidity. Highly recommend. Did scare off a bear cub about half way.

Look out for those Timber Rattlesnakes. My dog almost got bitten by a relatively small one. Not as venomous as the Diamondbacks but still, a bite can ruin your day.

Alright hike. Not very scenic, the second half gets rocky which makes it more interesting but beware of twisted ankles.

This was our first trail. The lake was beautiful. As we went around it the grass was tall throughout most of path and we were covered in ticks. Once we got over the tick fiasco we found the views enjoyable and the path challenging and muddy. We had a great time but mixed feelings due to the amount of ticks.

Great area. Nice sunrise and sun sets.

Nice trail however many ticks on my dog throughout! A little swampy this time of year so couldn’t do the loop.

Begins nicely marked and clear cut, but quickly degrades to a very rock, poorly marked, tick nest. I can save you an hour by saying the view is better from the parking lot.

Great quick hike! We thought it will be super easy hike but on the way back hike had a nice surprise with some rocks we had to climb, which made the hike a lot more fun. Sunset and views from the top are unforgettable!

Did this trail with my 10 year old sister. Would not recommend for kids younger than that. There are some steep climbs and areas where the drop can look scary. Had to hold her hand for a bit. Very rocky, with a few spots that have to be climbed. Nothing too terrible, just be aware. Watch your step, have common sense, follow the trail trees, and you'll be fine. Also a few good viewpoints where you can see Camelbeach/back, the Resort, and even Northampton Community College's Monroe Campus. Good to note that the park had the road closed at the first sign for Big Pocono State Park, meaning you could not get access to any of the parking lots. So it took us longer to walk to the trail! Weather was perfect, cloudy and about 60-65. No sun beating down, minimal bugs.

Nice hike, with some great overlooks and rocky outcroppings to explore.

Nice little hike but half of it is on the road. Therefore I don’t agree with kid friendly.

Nice easy walk with well groomed trails. You need to climb up onto stone in a few places along the trail, rocky embedded paths. Highly recommend it for beginners or novice hikers. Be sure to check out the weather beforehand because it can be overcast and misty, wet, with limited visibility.

my husband and I read some of the reviews and I'm not sure we would agree it's for all ages and abilities. It's a very rocky trail with declines and inclines. We absolutely loved the trail as it felt we were hiking around a rocky mountain and the view at the side was gorgeous; however, for the last half of the trail we really couldn't enjoy the scenery as we were too busy watching where to walk because of the all rock, uneven trail. We had our 2 German Shepherds who we had on an extendable leash that had to wait for us as they loved the terrain and seemed to walk through it with the grace of a coyote. My husband and I unfortunately couldn't walk briskly with them as we usually do because we had to watch each step at the last half of the trail so not to turn an ankle. That was why we gave a 4. It made it hard to enjoy the scenery. That being said, we still loved the uniqueness of this trail. Would definitely recommend it to those that love trail walking.

Great views, the trail was more rocky than expected, trail is well marked for the most part. I was very happy to have this app as a guide. The trail is well maintained, easy walk. Perfect for a beginner.

My family and I did the Indian Trail loop. It was a good trail and good for all ages. Rocky for most of the trail so at times we had to take it slow. There was a great view point half way through. I highly recommend. We parked in Parking Lot 2 but you can drive further past the paved parking lot to Lot 4.

The view at parking lot 2 is absolutely gorgeous, and it's the starting point of the loop if you follow the directions from the All Trails app. There is no Camelback loop trail actually. The loop contains the South Trail and a mile or so of road to get back to the parking lot. There are only signs for the South Trail. The route on the map is accurate. If you record your hike in the All Trails app, you can follow the GPS directions to complete the hike. We did it in July, and there were lots of bugs, I would recommend bringing bug spray.
