Description

Allegheny Islands State Park is an undeveloped park consisting of three islands in northeast Pittsburgh. There are no facilities in the park and it can only be accessed by boat. For those looking to stay overnight, camping is an option on the islands. If you are looking to hike, there are no maintained trails within the park, but several footpaths do exist on the island. However, you should dress appropriately and be prepared for overgrown terrain and possible bushwhacking.
