Very nice network of trails. We extended to make it a 3.3 mile (1 hr 20 min) walk. Can make it longer or shorter based on your wants. You have the option to walk to the zoo, archery area, Japanese garden and rose garden

Nice general, easy hike with the kids. Informative, pretty.

Were only able to go maybe .5 miles on this trail. Wildwood is closed around the Redwood Trail. It said it is closed until fall for bridge construction.

Trail run around Hoyt Arboretum and up to Pittock Mansion. Rare day with amazing mountain views but not too much wind. Some flowers just starting to bloom. Ran across Burnside traffic for maybe the last time :o)

A good chunk of this trail was closed right in the middle (no city views as promised), with no mention of it having a detour at the trail heads.
The trail intertwines with myriad others, the markers are quite confusing in some spots, and the trail names do not line up with what was downloaded on my map (from this app).
We ended up adding an extra 3 miles - which then didn’t even record - and had to use apple maps gps to find our way back to the car.
Pretty frustrating for a day that started out so wonderfully. Thankfully the weather was perfect, and the trail was pretty.

Great trail, mileage slightly off. I started at one of the bottom Hoyt Arboretum parking lots and it was 4 miles to Pittock. There was also part of the trail closed with a re-route but the re-route wasn’t any longer than the trail would’ve been. Instead of coming back the same way, I did a loop through Hoyt Arboretum which made it 6.2 miles. Hardly anyone out on a Monday. The one thing to be wary of is that this trail brings you to the crossing at Burnside. There were breaks in the traffic to cross but just be aware that you do have to cross it.

Beautiful! We didn’t finish the trail, but loved it here!

Good hike. Signs are kind of confusing so make sure you pay attention to them and make sure not to take wrong trail. Redwood Deck is a cool area to check out the trees!

Gorgeous trails

Beautiful trail. Very easy to follow. Great hike near the city.

Just moved here and decided to adventure through the area today. it was 84° outside but the ample trees made it feel like 75. I took the Redwood trail to the observation deck and then I saw signs for Pittock Mansion and decided to kill two adventures with one stone. the Redwood trail is super easy and beautiful. Once you get on to Wildwood trail is where you hit some incline. It's 1.3 miles from Redwood to the mansion. I went on a Friday at noon and it wasn't super crowded. i saw maybe 10 different groups the whole time which isn't crowded for a high traffic tourist location. if you take this route you do have to cross Burnside st by foot and the road is curved so be aware of the surroundings. I turned around after the mansion and finished the "1 hour loop" trail at Hoyt. the whole thing took about 2 hours and that was with stopping to take photos and see the wildlife (I saw lots of wild bunnies, a few species of very large spiders, and the last remnants of summer wildflowers) and I definitely stopped to stare upwards at the vastness of the trees a few times.

Lovely hike through the trees, plenty of shade, well maintained trails. Pittock Mansion is well worth visiting - you can get to the house via the road.

Trails level surfaces and well maintained so little risk of tripping when looking up at trees.

Easy. Very moving memorial.

The hike was pretty nice, but the signs weren’t very helpful, and we were expecting to see at least some flowers from the reviews, but unfortunately didn’t see any. It was a pretty leisurely hike, however and the different trees with their labels was definitely a nice addition. All around worth the experience.

A fun, easy hike. Went here for a first date with my boyfriend

Many options in the arboretum trail system and connects to the Wildwood Trail for many miles of hiking. Best in spring for flowers, but then can be muddy. Fall colors also can be spectacular. Parking can be a problem on a nice day.

I run this trail several times a week year round in combination with adjacent loops. One of the Crown Jewels in Portland’s Park System. Try connecting this to the Council Crest Park loop if you have time for a true “I heart PDX” workout!

Was a bit Confusing but we will definitely be going Because there are many things to do around that area. We will be going back tomorrow to explore all the other areas we didn't get to explore today.

It was ok, I'd definitely call it a mostly easy trail with a couple short steep sections. biggest problem was the stretch right off the memorial, which has lots of criss crossing trails that were confusing enough that I had to check my map a dozen times. Not knowing the names of the component trails was a problem until I got to where I can stay on Wildwood for a long time. Maybe would have been more logical going counter clockwise. At any rate, it's a good hike that feels mostly secluded despite being urban and you can detour to a little viewing area on Wildwood.

great trail when one has a few hours to hike with the great rewards of city views when you reach Pittock mansion ( that has public bathrooms and a water fountain). Try to go when the Magnolia trees bloom for an extra nature beauty treat. thisbis my go to excersise and replenish the soul hike although if you go mid day there are lots of people so try to hit the trail early so its less busy.

Always a great park for a walk or hike. Parking can get scarce on busy warm weekend days.
