Beautiful! We didn’t finish the trail, but loved it here!

Good hike. Signs are kind of confusing so make sure you pay attention to them and make sure not to take wrong trail. Redwood Deck is a cool area to check out the trees!

Beautiful trail. Very easy to follow. Great hike near the city.

Lovely hike through the trees, plenty of shade, well maintained trails. Pittock Mansion is well worth visiting - you can get to the house via the road.

Easy. Very moving memorial.

A fun, easy hike. Went here for a first date with my boyfriend

Was a bit Confusing but we will definitely be going Because there are many things to do around that area. We will be going back tomorrow to explore all the other areas we didn't get to explore today.

used this mixture of trails as a template for a slightly more extensive walk to make up for the fact we couldn't do mirror lake trail an hour from town because there was nowhere to park.

It was ok, I'd definitely call it a mostly easy trail with a couple short steep sections. biggest problem was the stretch right off the memorial, which has lots of criss crossing trails that were confusing enough that I had to check my map a dozen times. Not knowing the names of the component trails was a problem until I got to where I can stay on Wildwood for a long time. Maybe would have been more logical going counter clockwise. At any rate, it's a good hike that feels mostly secluded despite being urban and you can detour to a little viewing area on Wildwood.

great trail when one has a few hours to hike with the great rewards of city views when you reach Pittock mansion ( that has public bathrooms and a water fountain). Try to go when the Magnolia trees bloom for an extra nature beauty treat. thisbis my go to excersise and replenish the soul hike although if you go mid day there are lots of people so try to hit the trail early so its less busy.

Easy, dog friendly hike

The trail is closed due to a landslide. It still takes you up to the mansion for amazing views! You just cannot continue from there.

Short easy loop. Beautiful memorial. Connected to nice park and arboretum trails.

The short segment that runs along Johnson Creek (2.4-2.5 mile mark on the elevation map) is closed due to a landslide. Detour via Redwood Trail.

I give this five stars because it is a beautiful forest in the middle of a major city. Once you're on the trail, it is easy to forget that downtown is only a couple miles away. Peaceful and quiet.

This is one of the only hikes where I know the exact date of when I went. It's very easy, and is a good place to walk your dog. This is one of thew only trails in the City that doesn't get extremely crowded, so it's pretty enjoyable. Just wish it was a bit longer. It only takes an hour to complete, so you don't have to be prepared to do this trail.

Beautiful wooded hiking near the center of the city. We had our engagement pictures taken here.

very pretty misty, mossy woodland hike with you surrounded with tall trees. canopy is pretty thick so you don't get too much sun. trail was very well marked and maintained. Right near portland city so easy to get too. Ample free parking.

It's forest, dirt roads, paved roads. You will see people but there is a nice view up at the top.

Washington Park is one of the best examples of urban parks I can imagine. As you come from the entrance via SW St. Claire and make your way up to the ample theater you know the architects of the park spared no expense in the planning of this masterpiece. There is a small park next to SW Marconi that is in bloom in early summer that worth a look. The Rose Garden, tennis courts, archery range, play ground and Japanese gardens give everyone something to do. The park ends where my favorite park begins The Hoyt Arboretum.
