This is a very easy, beautiful hike with the opportunity to camp in a 3 walled shelter right next to a small picturesque lake

The trail is very easy, I think moderate may be a bit of a stretch. The whole family can come for sure.

I had to put my truck in 4-low to get up the last stretch of the road because of the snow. If your car can’t handle the snow, I would recommend finding a place that you can safely turn around, and hike up to the trail head. The trail is pretty short anyway

Did this short lovely hike today with my dog and 2 year old. My 2 year old needed help in spots because it was steep and muddy therefore slippery in spots but enjoyable still. He loved splashing in the water by the falls.

We did this hike 11/12/18 If you are coming from the south, (Cottage Grove side) Rd. 1751 is closed due to a landslide about 2 miles before the trailhead, you can park at the road closure and hike the road up to the trailhead. This turns the hike into an almost 7 1/2 miler. If you want to stay with just hiking the Mt. June trail itself, I would come in from the north side.

It was so cool. There was a great place to swim!

I have gone here a ton and there is always something new to explore. Hundreds of roads and mines to look around. If you want to really see some cool stuff, contact the miners museum in Cottage Grove to get a tour.

I loved this trail! It was pretty easy hike and the waterfall at the end was spectacular! We had the trail to ourselves.

Watch out for dog poop on the trail! It was kind of a bummer to have to be more aware of piles of poo than actually enjoying the scenery around. Overall, it's a beautiful tiny hike!

An absolute gem and worth the long drive to get there. If you are lucky there is a hidden wonder to be found....

This remains to be my favourite summit hike. The elevation is high, but no high enough for severe altitude sickness. Ridge at the top was my favourite part. Took me 3 hours up and 1h 45min on the way down. It was a beautiful clear day, wore a sweater and a tank top. Sweater only came in handy at the summit. Drank 2 litres of water and a gatorade bottle. Will come back one day.

Took my mom on this trail, first half mile was a climb but with lots of breaks she made it. The lake is amazingly clear and pristine. Great place to spend the day enjoying the area!
Trail is clearly marked and easy to follow.

great falls. easy beautiful hike!

We took on this hike as a family on a cloudy Sunday after it rained the night before. The trail is a really well worn trail although in a few places the vegetation is encroaching on the trail.

The fire a few years ago really took a toll on some of the area but it is starting to make a comeback. The lakes are just as beautiful as they've always been.

There is a shelter and a bathroom near the biggest lake. There used to be a second shelter but it burned in the fire.

If you'd love a great overview of the lakes then take the upper trail to the rock outcropping that overlooks both lakes. The view is amazing!

The trail itself is beautiful, short and steep enough to be considered a workout. The view at the top is beautiful, even on a partly cloudy day. It is pretty hard to get to the trailhead, convoluted in the end and a total lack of markers. If you don’t use your trip odometer in the truck or car, I doubt you will find it. The road was rough and you really needed AWD for the last couple miles. Beautiful view!

beautiful! I was lucky enough to go at an unbusy time.

Beautiful but not as long as I would have liked.

A good trip, trail is steep but fairly short and the views are nice. It was also fun to rummage in the tailings of the old mine in the ghost town down below.

Bring poles for the top section. It's a great trail that gets more fun as you progress. I recommend climbing fast as this one can be used as an excellent conditioning hike.

Nice easy walk, could be beautiful view but for the smoke. 09-15-2018 no snow very dry. The road in has some washboard 1st mile than some wash spot. Most suv wont have any problems, no 4x4 needed. Unless it’s raining or snowing.

Easy-moderate (only because of this incline) well paved hike/ trail!

Beautiful hike! Went yesterday and then did Mt. Thielsen today. Yesterday the smoke wasn’t as bad so we could see all the way to the Three Sisters.
No water on the trail, and a good amount of sun exposure at the top. Bring water and sunscreen! Also, the “scramble” near the top was a three foot ledge to step up onto. It’s a non issue.

I adore this hike. I have yet to do the entire thing, but how done some sections around Cedar Creek and Lund Park Campgrounds, including the hike up to Trestle Creek Falls. Both campgrounds, especially Lund Park which is usually less crowded, provide lovely camping with trail access and nearby swimming holes. The trail takes you through beautiful Doug fir, red cedar and big leaf maple forest filled with wild flowers and maidenhair ferns along Brice Creek. The trail sometimes goes up above the creek but often comes down close enough to allow you to swim. There are many lovely swimming holes, though the water is always very cold. There are many smaller trails that branch off the main trail which take you to beautiful waterfalls and the trail is generally easy, going up and down enough to be a mild workout but not too much to be difficult. All around lovely trail and creek!

I've seen many waterfalls. This waterfall is my favorite. It's so beautiful .

greT waterfall best I think!

I didn’t enjoyed it that much. You can’t deny the view is take breathing, but you are not able to get close to the falls, the viewpoint is really far from there. It is my understanding that another trial exists to get to the bottom, we just didn’t know where that was. The trial it’s crowded, and to be honest, I was really scared about the missing boy and probably dead by now. At one point of the trial I saw some girls getting beyond the fence limit to get some shots and selfies and they were really really close to the edges and to one of the waterfalls. So scary! A picture is not worthy, life and security first, people!

Absolutely beautiful! Had an amazing time. The fire damage, yet heartbreaking, is interesting in itself. We caught some Brown Trout of the the larger lake and they were beautiful! I recommend visiting!

beautiful trail through old growth forest with an amazing view at the summit.
