Awesome close in trails from Portland. Beautiful scenery and not crowded during the week. Lots of little bridges and moderate inclines. Took about 1.25 hours to do this loop.

Great park. Very pretty. Daughter and I hiked around for an hour today.

walked 3 miles with my 10 year old tonight and we're going back tomorrow! love how beautiful and well maintained this park is!

Great for running and strolling. Can get buggy though in the summer.

Love the serenity and natural beauty

Old stomping grounds.. It had been quite awhile since I had been here. There’s always tons of people so I don’t go often but it’s good for socializing dogs. Pretty flat and few hills.

I didn’t have a lot of time so I had a route and I wanted to stick to it. I spent a lot of time looking at my phone to make sure I was on the right path (I wasn’t a few times). Lots of beautiful trails to explore and definitely a nice quiet hike close to town. Personally there were just too many cris-crossing trails. Would still recommend.

Pleasant outing. Trees.

This is such a hidden gem. Lovely trail for a family hike. Not too busy, even on weekends.

Love it here, so many different hiking trials, depending how much you want to walk. A lot of scenery and small waterfalls for he kids to see. I have two kids and they loved it!!

love it! light traffic and a lot to see.

There are dozens of possible routes to try out in Tryon. Today my route most resembles the fingery weirdness of this loop. My goal was to fill in some of the inner paths that I missed my last visit when I chose a wider perimeter loop.

After a year in Spokane exploring all the trails, even those inside the city limits, I decided I would do the same back in the Portland area. It's funny how you can live in a place your whole life and not bother to explore things practically in your backyard. Tryon Creek Natural Area is a pleasant place to visit when driving an hour out of town to a more remote trailhead isn't an option. I started from the south-most entrance on Andrews Road so I could hike the biggest loop possible. One down, many to go!

Great series of easy to almost moderate tails. Serene settings in just a few minutes from the parking lot. There's a gift shop and interpretive center with some programming for children.

Get area to run, walk, bike, horseback ride. Well groomed trails and very scenic.

A lot of trails here, went to the visitors center to get it right. Nice hike for family and kids.

2 miles loop are good . We have fun today

Easy with some elevation gain and loss. Lots of trails but trail remains in the same drainage basin so it is pretty hard to stay lost for long.

Easy hike with multiple options for trails. We did about a 2 mike loop.

Was a very nice hike. Well maintained trails.

Nice, easy walk with pretty forest views.

Great hike, but no waterfall!

Beautiful setting and easy to get to.

Was a great hike with a bit of a challenge I'm not a normal hiker but I would salmon shape. Had to avoid horse poop on some of the trails that was about the only downside

Great park with which to escape the city. As a trail run this loop is a favorite of mine for variety and challenge, offering switchbacks, both steep and gentle inclines, flat stretches, foot bridges, and safe footing. Tryon offers consistent shade in summer, with refreshing creek bottoms to visit, and a rain forest feel in the winter. Great place for birding and wildlife viewing too. Owls are very active here in fall and winter. Trimllium blooms from white to dark purple, and shades in between here. Friends of Tryon have been pulling ivy too. Wonderful place to take kids to explore nature and your neighbors. I have seen people walking exotic pets from mini-horses, pot bellied pods, and a caracal! This loop is a perfect after work run or weekend saunter and the Boones Ferry Access lots are not often full.

Lots of fun options to make your own route. 7 miles today.
