Solid 3-star. Started noon. 2.5 hrs up (with food break) and 1hr 10min back down. No views until the top. Trail nicely maintained by the prison crew that lives at South Fork Forest Camp nearby. Met them on the trail working. Could see the ocean sparkling to the west where the sun sets at 3:30pm up top. Bring binos to see it. At no point did the trail feel sketchy with cliff edges. The viewpoint .5mi from the top, and at the top are the most dangerous spots where if you’re being wild, you can fall and die. But there’s plenty of safe room for scaredy cats like myself- just stay back a bit. The guest notebook at the very top in the wooden box looked as though someone had wiped themselves with it, chewed on it, and set it back into the box.

This trail is beautiful. The beginning of the trail is easy/moderate but as you begin getting closer to the top it gets hard! It definitely pushes you, but the top of the mountain is so rewarding. Overall there were not too many view spots until you reach the top section.

Very nice and easy trail. Like others, I found the trail a little confusing at the start. The sign says Four Point in one direction and Wolf Creek Loop in the other direction. If you record this hike it doesn’t self verify due to the trail starting at what I assume in the eastern most side of Wolf Creek...not at the Four Points trail head T sign. Anyway, it’s a nice hike with beautiful views.

I’ve done this trail numerous times but my favorite time of year to hike this is when it snows. Such a beautiful walk and the scenery is great! My two kids thoroughly enjoy it every time.

Only reason I didn't give the trail a better rating was because there was LOTS of gun fire and you could hear the traffic. Easy walk. Just isn't a place to go if you want to fully enjoy nature.

Great hike. Breathtaking view. Was difficult for me and a real challenge but it was worth it.

Really good, by far the hardest trail I've ever hiked. I felt like I could fly by the end though. There is a time capsule at the peak. Get out there and explore! Hang loose -N

What a great trail. Can feel challenging sometimes when doing the whole loop but well worth it. The landscape of the Tillamook forest changes dramatically and frequently. And yes, you can here gunshots in some areas and yes, you can hear bikes and ATVs. But not everywhere. Everyone's very civil and friendly anyways. The hikers trail is shared by cyclists but you only meet the odd 2-3 of them once every hour (we walked on a Saturday). Also, a few areas were a little muddy but no big deal. Good to have proper hiking boots though. I'd come back. My wife, dog and I had a great time.

Made it to the top around 10am or so. Unfortunately no view this time, just clouds with lots of wind, rain, and hail.. Poured most of the morning, trail turned into a mini stream on the way down. Saw a tree get blown down about 20 ft away from me which made me rethink getting out of bed. Definitely should have stayed in bed. Heard two other loud crashes during the way down. I wasn't in shape for this hike but I still sent it

so hard. we didnt make it to the top.

Short, steep hike. The views at the top are nice, but not breathtaking. The hike back down is a bit slick, we were glad we had poles. There was a trail-runner's race while we were coming down, and they didn't seem to have much trouble with the descent.

Definitely difficult. First 2 miles weren’t so bad but the final mile stretch hit me hard. Coming down was on wobbly legs

This was a great hike. Challenging w some scrambling going up and I slid a few times coming down. Hiking sticks were so helpful. To the top was a solid 3 miles but worth it to sign the mazama book-so round trip for us was 6 miles.

Awesome hike. Don't let the reviews scare you off. It is a tough and steep hike, with some portions of scrambling over rocks, but if you wear the right gear, and pace yourself it is so worth it. The views at the top are beautiful. We went on a cool day, and got rained on towards then end. I do recommend trekking poles to make the downhill easier for sure.

Pretty average overall. The beginning of the trail offers some good swimming spots if you’re doing this in the summer. I’d say go for the workout and solitude (we ran into 2 other groups of hikers). Other than the distance, it’s actually a very easy hike.

I would recommend this hike to anyone wanting to get a good workout while also having some beautiful scenery. Definitely has some steep ascents but the waterfalls and mountaintop views along the way make it enjoyable. If you have poles I would recommend bringing them. I didn’t bring mine and am certain I will be sore tomorrow.

It's an ass kicker. Very few transitions. Absolutely worth the climb for the view, can see clear across the mountain range from the top.

The first time I hiked this I was very much an amateur hiker so this kicked my butt; hiked on a hot August day, luckily had a dog helping pull me up, was sore for days later. Some switchbacks & steep terrain, hiking poles are nice to have especially on the way down so not to slip. Beautiful views at the top!

Trail good condition. Views only at the very top. Good workout.

Steep hike, very challenging for beginners specially with no hiking experience. Take your time and get to the top. I took around 4 hours up-down. Sore thighs for 3 days after the hike :( but good workout.
