Well marked and an easy zigzag trail. It ends at a dirt road that you can continue on, and another trail that hasn’t been graveled starts after a little while down the road. It’s a beautiful and easy hike, great for dogs and kids.

Can't wait for this to be finished. It'll also have a downhill mountain biking trail beside it that's currently still under construction

nice wide gravel trail that switchbacks through the trees. trail is still under construction as of 1.14.18 so it just ends at a muddy road. can't wait for it to be finished and connect to the other side. think I may have found my alternative to Spencers butte without having to drive as far.

This trail, if you do the whole thing is actually more like 10.5 miles out and back or 5.3 miles one way. The top spine section is super muddy though so don’t wear your pretty sneakers or just cut through next to the trail out of the mud. Still doable but better in dry weather. The back side has nice views on the way down.
