very easy. no clear viewpoints of the size of the spruce. room at the base for pics and a small bench to sit and relax if needed.

did this hike October 22, 2018. essentially a drive up destination. very short walk to the attraction. walking access from this trail to a variety of the other attractions along the coast.

A great, easy hike for the whole family to enjoy. Easily our favorite hiking spot to take the kids along on.

Nice easy trail. Busy. Take the north loop to avoid the traffic. Falls are nice, bridge is cool. Collected some mushrooms, yum.

Awesome and beautiful but super easy hike! Very popular spot but still worth an afternoon trip.

The wander in is really pretty. fairly deep forest. Not especially challenging. couple minor hills but thats really all. the view of the falls from the bridge and the area across the canyon are absolutely wonderful.
That much said, even on a cool early Friday morning there were a ton of people. on my way in, I passed 4 groups of people in less than a mile. all of them were super friendly and gave a pleasent good morning as we passed each other. on the way out, however, I must have passed 10 to 15 groups totalling 50 to 60 people. and most of them had zero trail manners, using their large 5 to 10 people group to block the whole trail forcing me completely off the rather wide trail. Some of the groups had younger kids who were yelling and screaming and stomping on mushrooms and trying to push over small trees. while I'm happy to see parents bringing their kids in a no cell service area, a little respect for nature wouldnt hurt.
I may go back during the spring run off, but not unless its a cold rainy day.

Beautiful, quiet, serene. You can hear and sometimes see the ocean throughout the whole trail. The visitor center has good information and there are many other side trails to explore.

The old growth forest section of this hike is otherworldly.

Beautiful trail many small waterfalls.

We hiked this trail on father's day and it was very busy, but not over crowded, fairly easy walking, my 5yr old almost did the whole trail on his own, so it's very kind friendly. loved the view of the falls and the pools at the bottom to play in the water and cool off.

This trail is gorgeous and 4.5 miles RT

Fun place to hike with kids or go for a run! I liked it so much hiking with a group of kids that I went back the next day and ran it. Shady and covered by trees. The ground feels padded and bouncy I loved it.

Easy, beautiful hike.

Sometimes steep trail through the forest to the Giant Sitka Spruce. It can be muddy in spots. There is a little bench to sit and study the huge tree at the clearing. For those who would like to see the tree but can’t walk the trail, you can park at the end of the Cape Perpetua Campground near the restrooms and shelter, cross the little footbridge over the creek and walk the end of the trail. The short trail is on the maps. We saw a couple families with handicapped kids walking this part of the trail. Otherwise the kids wouldn’t have been able to get out into the woods and see the huge tree.

Absolutely loved this trail. It was uphill for the first 1.5-2.0 miles but then it slowly declined on the back end kinda like my former marriage lol. You will definitely get a workout.

Awesome place to take friends and family

Place was closed due to tree felling, (9/16/18). It's awesome driving all the way up to a trail and finding out it is closed due to tree felling on a public trail fro Oregon citizens.

Really great. We opted to do this trail over Kentucky Falls after reading reviews that the road to that trailhead was rough. We were there first week of September and saw maybe 6-10 people the entire loop, not bad. There are some crawfish living in the gentle streams below, hiding in the rocks. “Swimming” is possible also, but since it’s so cold, we just kept jumping in and getting out immediately. Many different small waterfalls leading to the main waterfall at the end, I would recommend parking at the further parking lot to really experience this area.

This hike kicked my butt in the hot weather. Was worth it though! The drive is a little rough.

Drive out on one lane road was tricky. But well worth it. Trail was easy. Nice waterfall.

Delightful paved stroll down to the basalt shoreline where Thor’s Well thrills immediately before and after high tide. Use caution! The spout it also fun, as the surf churns up the channel and pounds the rocks concussively.

We love this trail. You can either stay on the path or if you don’t mind getting your feet wet you can work your way up the creek.

One of the easiest close to the coast hikes!! Beautiful all around.

One lane road to parking at the head of the trail. Trail was nice and easy, perfect for beginners and kids.

Easy hike with beautiful scenery. We took the North Loop headed in to add more mileage but backed out using the regular path. The trail is managed well with some tree roots you have to be mindful of on the walking path. The inclines are easy with just enough intensity to get you breathing deeply. We went midweek in August in the middle of the afternoon and it was busy. The bridge is rad and I expected it to sway and bounce more than actually did. We drove to the trail head from Lincoln City on a 12 mile stretch of road that was narrow, winding, and had a few switchbacks. Drive carefully!

This is a nice easy hike with a beautiful Suspension bridge that overlooks the falls. We drove in by the Southern route. The drive treats you to old growth forest and giant ferns.

Mostly uphill. Every step is worth all the amazing coastal views. Very Beautiful!

lost cell coverage driving up the mountain to the trail head.beautiful place.would go again.

Lots of traffic on a Friday. Very easy walk. Nice suspension bridge. Ranger was ticketing cars without appropriate passes when we arrived. Make sure yours is visible.
