I wouldn’t consider this a hike, but the path to the falls is relatively easy (there is an incline on the way back up, but it’s short). Every time I go I make sure it’s late Oct or Nov (less people) & if you catch it on a rainy day you’ll see hardly anyone else there.

Awesome trail! Can be finished in just under 5 hours with minimal breaks. Can be slippery at some of the waterfall paths. Started at Rim trail and ended with south falls. Really great going this route because you avoid the crowds and can get really great pictures without having to wait for people to get out of the way.

Very cold this time of year, but no rain! Was pretty muddy in some spots. I didn’t see anyone the whole time. It was very peaceful. I showed up at 7am when the park was open to avoid the crowds. When I left there was a lot of cars in the lot.

This walk offers the best bang for your buck if you are looking for an easily accessible and well maintained trail to get you to some of the most beautiful scenery! It was a little longer than the 7.5 miles listed. I kept a pretty brisk walk/jog and finished in 4 hours including lots of picture stops. Totally worth the drive and a great way to spend a beautiful fall morning.

This is the best “easy” hike in the park, in my opinion! Walking behind South Falls is always incredible, even if it does get a bit crowded sometimes. If going on a weekend in summer, expect crowds!

Great hike! Not too long or too hard. Took us about 5.5 hours, and we stop a lot to take pictures and eat... The maple trees have already shed their leaves. A few short parts of the trail are steep and icy so be careful. It was cold yesterday but not terrible. Almost the entire trail is in the shade. Note that this weekend there's going to be some marathon there.

Amazing trail...! Did this one with my wife on October 13th 2019. Lots of people on the trail but never too congested. Tail is hard packed even when wet. Rocky here and there but for the most part an easy hike. The fall colors were amazing and stood out among the lush greenery. We loved it!

Hike on 10/12 Sat in afternoon. Love the water falls with some fall colors. Not the peak yet but still beautiful. The trails are well maintained and easy (only did South Fall, Lower South Fall, and Canyon trail). Come early, perhaps before 10 am if you can to avoid the crowd. When we started at 11:30, the trail was already pretty busy.

Beautiful hike! Popular with lots of other hikers as well, but we went on a weekday and it wasn't too crowded. You can access the loop from any of the trailheads. We started at South Falls, which was easily the most crowded portion of the trail. Overall, the trail was fairly flat, wide, and either graveled or made of packed dirt. The only real elevation changes happen when you're hiking into or out of the canyon. We included the Rim Trail in our hike and enjoyed it despite the fact that it followed the road. The Fall colors were lovely and made the hike all that much more beautiful. 10/10 I'd hike this again.

Beautiful hike! All 10 waterfalls were flowing really well today. Tons of fall colors, too.

Gorgeous! Some spots were kind of torn up and muddy from the horses, and a few spots were really narrow from over growth but absolutely a fantastic, fairy tale trail. Rackett Ridge goes up for what feels like your whole life but the run down Perimeter to Rim is just breath taking. One of my favorite trails ever.

Went on a Sunday and did the entire loop. Relatively easy. A light jacket was perfect. A little muddy at parts.

Very busy but very beautiful. Cool in the morning and warmed up to about 62 by 1pm. Lots of people, so show up as early as you can to avoid crowds. Little muddy but not to bad. Most leaves have changed colors to red and orange. Leaves all over.Great hike!

Some fall colors are starting to show.

Hiked this trail today counterclockwise starting from South Falls, following Canyon Trail, venturing off to Upper North Falls a d returning via Rim Trail. I would say that 75% of this hike is easy and 25% is moderate. The elevation gain and drop are very moderate. Canyon Trail was much more interesting than Rim Trail. If you are pressed for time, consider cutting through Winter Trail and just do North Falls and Upper North Falls from a separate trailhead. Gorgeous falls hike for sure

Beautiful well maintained trail.

Weather was great today. Lil chilly when we started around 11 but after walking a bit our body warmed up. Glad it didn’t rain throughout our hike. While going it took around 1.5 hrs, return was quick, took only 45mins.

Great weather out there for mid September. Only needed a light jacket. Little chilly in the morning but the hike itself warms you up to the perfect temp. I hiked the 10 falls route around the whole park. I showed up at 9:30 am so there were no crowds. When I left at 1:30pm the parking lot was packed! The trail was surprisingly dry. Lots of shade as well. The trees are just starting to change colors! Great Hike!

The trail and the waterfalls are magnificent. I recommend taking the trail clockwise, as we did. You start right off with the big South Falls. The Rim trail on the way back is pretty, but uneventful. If we go again we might just do it as an out and back, as the canyon trail is so much prettier with lots to see.

This was truly a short amazing hike. I had no idea of all of the waterfalls in this small area. We were just driving back to the airport in Portland and wanted a quick sight. WOW. I only wish I had time to do the 10 mile loop. For those of you, definitely make time for this. There is also a cafe and the food smelled delicious but just not at the right time for me to eat. I would definitely come home all the falls and then hang out eating. What a well kept area!!!
