Good trail but decided to head down Hawthorne to go back a different trail to the beginning. Lots of horse poop so watch out!! Saw quite a number of people, but not too crowded. Awesome time and will ned to come back more often!

Pretty nice trail for multiple uses, not too difficult, and appreciate that it’s in this area of Portland. It can be crowded however and there is horse and dog poop about.

Nice “city” hike with lots of choices. Meadows and forest trails. Easy

There where some steep hills but it was 95% paved but I was able to maneuver my stroller just fine on the unpaved areas. My biggest complaints were no toilet paper in the bathroom and the trails are very thin and bike riders were going so fast that they almost ran over my 5 year old... overall it was a good walk with the kids and they enjoyed it.. the kids found lots of bugs and even a bunnie!!

Really good for beginners! Cool Mountain View area as well.

What an absolutely beautiful place! Partially shaded and no significant hills

Fun trail and great if you're looking for something a little low key but not too easy.

Nice little hike in the middle of Portland. Felt safe all the way around, a few Nature Park workers seing along the way.

Dog and bike friendly but not crowded on a weekday.

Didn’t follow the exact route but still a nice easy hike!

Great for the whole family. Beautiful views of several mountains, the city and incredibly convenient.

gorgeous trails!

Good for taking kids and old people. On a clear Day you can see hood. There are some nice signs at the visitor center. It’s clean here safe. Good for an in town Hike.

I love this park and it’s trails. Hard to believe something this nice in the middle of Portland. Did the Mountain View then Summit Lane then the South Trail back to the parking lot. This was a great fall back hike after an aborted Angels Rest and Multnomah Falls hike. Portlanders are lucky to have this park. Salem needs to step up and have elevation hiking trails like this too.

Great access. Excellent parking. Beautiful vista! Well maintained, signs post the way. Plus there is wheelchair capable trails at the top, visitors center, toilets and parking. Horseback riders and mountain bikers share some of the trails all is posted.

Good trail run or picnic to watch the sunset over mt good

Great system of well maintained trails!! Everyone we encounter is very friendly and respectful of the passage of hikers, bikers and pups! Added bonus of feeling like you are in the woods in the middle of the city

A great hiking option without driving too far out of the city. Nice to have forested tails and open trails. Parking can be limited

A great resource that is close by with good covered canopy trails South, West and North sides, open Meadow trails near the summit, Dog friendly my dog loves it there, well-marked Trail Junctions with maps. Good rain runoff in the ravines in canopied area draining into Johnson Creek. Good short hike without the long drive.

Great trail to bring the pup to!

Great before or after work jaunt! I do this all the time but never tracked myself before this. I was surprised it was more than 4 miles as it’s so easy breezy, but a great in city workout in an out of city setting!
