My wife and I enjoyed the hike to Ramona falls. It was a peaceful hike and took lot of pictures . The hike took us about 4 hours.

great hike. trail is a little iffy in places. Not a good trail for small children that's for sure. Not crowded at all. we saw maybe 10 people.

Wonderful hike, nice and shady, and going on a weekday makes for a not too crowded adventure. One of my favorites with an amazing waterfall!

Great trail. Everything is marked off very well and easy to stay on course. Even the directions to the TH from the city were great. Crossing the river was a little precarious along the log but manageable (8:00am in May). I always like to hike with a destination/reward and Ramona Falls does not disappoint. Took me about 3.5hrs from start to finish this solo hike.

Spent Tuesday night at the camp and hiked most of the trail — very serene, easy and quiet! Didn’t pass one other person. I’d definitely recommend this as a really decent spot to take a peaceful, easygoing stroll especially with your dog.

Beautiful hike following the Sandy river on the way up and a small meandering Ramona Creek on the way back. The falls are some of the most beautiful! Well maintained trails with lovely bridges and a fun diy river crossing over or through the Sandy.

I hiked this today after cycling all the way up from estacada- great workout if crowds bum you out this place is for you not another person anywhere!

Nothing special.

Intense uphill, but I’m a beginner hiker and made it up in about an hour. Steep/cliffy in some areas.

Beautiful little hike along a river to spectacular falls. I’d love to go again on a week day, the trail was very crowded.

We tried this weekend and couldn’t find the trail under the snow. Will try again in a few months.

Beautiful hike! Still a bit of snow but can be easily diverged, one of the best views I’ve seen in Oregon.

Gorgeous hike with breathtaking views. It was pretty easy with not much elevation gain, though it was a pretty long hike. Around the middle of the trail, there is an unmarked fork in the trail. If you want to see Ramona Falls, make sure you stay left. Also, there was no snow by the time I hiked it.

Went yesterday. Was a good hike and a AWESOME waterfall! Very busy .Phone track said 4 Miles round trip.

Very fun Hike! Laid back, and a great waterfall!

Absolutely beautiful trail - there were many spots for photo ops, and the waterfall is stunning.

4/5 stars because the trail is poorly marked which becomes problematic in snowed areas. The road to the trail and first half mile of the trail were fine. The deep snow began shortly after and makes it difficult to make it to the summit. My boyfriend tried his hardest to redirect us while I verified previous hikers foot prints, it didn’t work for long. We made it about 2/3 of the way up until we decided to quit. Super upset and wishes I had researched the trail more.

Road and trail open. :)

Absolutely gorgeous, not too difficult other than crossing the river which was a fun challenge :)
Well worth it great easy day hike

Loved the trail and beautiful hike. My German Shepard pup loved it and did great on the trail. My car got broken into so just take extra care. When I parked there was a lot of glass on the ground and more so after my windows were broke so just take extra care with your pups paws in the parking lot.

Great trail. About a mile into it you’ll have to cross a relatively wide river. There is no bridge but sturdy logs you can use. It’s worth it!

The trail is pretty short and easy, so the pay off at the waterfall is really good. It can be pretty busy with families

The river has a strong current when you ford the river. IF you can cross on the downed trees, I would do so. If you go too far downstream to cross the river, it can be difficult to find the trail in the sandy patch- there isn't a highly visible trail in that part. The rest of the trail is well marked and maintained

If you’re hiking with your dog be aware that the river is impassible with a dog. All the logs are too narrow for a dog to balance and river is running too fast to risk it. We turned back after only a mile.

Road still closed and has about 6 inches of snow most of the way. Not many people there. Lots of trash and dog poop, please pick up after yourself!

Nice trail. Still quite a bit of snow when you enter the wilderness area about 2.5 miles in. As for the directions. After the last right turn (at the gate). You are almost there. About 1/2 mile more. Don’t worry the road dead ends at the trail head and you won’t miss it.

Great conditioner! This trail is no slouch. Views are minimal for all of the work invested. Not enough payoff.

I tried to get up to welcome lakes but didn’t feel
Like climbing over anymore logs on this day and a t storm was brewing. Still a nice hike, elk creek is beautiful and the burn areas are very interesting to look at

I propose to my girlfriend (now wife) on this trail! Spectacular view!
