Beautiful. Trail is very well-maintained

Awesome!! Get their early. It is a busy trail, at least Mother’s Day Sunday it was. Our family with a 7 and 5 year old did great. You can get down to the water but it is a little steep. Pack a lunch and enjoy.

This was a great day hike. Just park at the trailhead sign and begin walking. The trail was marked with blue diamond tags nailed to the trees, and was very easy to follow. There is a bathroom at the trail head and a the falls. Our 5 and 7 years olds made the 7 mile trip with ease. Picnic tables at the falls for a fun outdoor lunch. Have fun and enjoy the views!

Easy peasy

This trail is an easy out and back that follows the river to beautiful falls. Children would like it because there are lots of opportunities to wade in the river. My watch showed it was closer to 4.5 miles round trip. We went in late April and it was perfect.

This was a great hike, the gate was open and we were able to drive up to the trailhead. it was very, very heavily used. parking was a nightmare. the falls were beautiful and once you got past the initial falls there were fewer people. had to turn back after a few miles because of ankle deep snow on the trail but a very nice morning hike.

Nature is so beautiful on this trail! We hiked up to the falls and higher up got to hike in the snow! Lower trail next just fresh air and scenery. Very family friendly, parking not great fills up fast a lot of cars parking on road and instead. Very happy pets on trails too!

Great Hike.

Fun hike and challenging with kids with a few peaks and valleys. There were a lot of trees down in the path and it didnt look like it had recently been maintained but we were also early in the season. The view of the falls isnt very good at the top. There is a trail leading to the bottom which may be clearer but it was very steep and not kid friendly. I would go again later in the year.

Great hike through the forest and along the river! Nice views of waterfalls, rapids and lava flow across the river. Nice views of Mt Bachelor and Broken Top in a few spots too. A little muddy in spots, but it's early April. Trade off is no mosquitoes yet! Yay! Pretty easy hike overall.

Completed this hike on our Vacation last week! Just came in on the gravel road side of the trail and it was easy to walk and great views! Worth doing if you are there!

Beautiful hike with mild very gradual elevation gain and stunning waterfall at the end! There is a snowmobile trail that also leads to the falls, so be sure you find the trail through the woods off to the side of the snowmobile trail so you can enjoy the beautiful forest. The snowshoeing or cross country skiing trail is a little hard to find from the very start, but is easily visible from the cabin just a few feet up the snowmobile trail. The forest trail is also well marked with blue diamonds on the trail throughout the entirety. Highly recommend also checking out the lower falls viewpoint only 1/4 mile down in addition to upper level lookout. Of note, you need a Sno Park pass to park for this hike which we didn’t find listed anywhere else!

Awesome trail - easy to follow, great beginner snowshoe, but spectacular views make it perfect for all levels of skill. Didn’t do the loop - just went out and back on the trail side, decided to nix the road section. Lots of fresh powder as of today, but it won’t last long!

This is a great winter get away!! Close to Bend and a good cross country ski!! On the weekend it is really crowded, but on the week day it is a good choice!! The views are spectacular and if you like waterfalls it is a must see!!

Hiked on 2/18/18 with several inches of snow on the ground. The falls were extra beautiful with Frozen water around it.

Great hike but there were some pretty icy spots. The view of the falls is not what I was expecting but I’d do it again.

Please park in usfs parking lot at trail head not in front of gate during winter months. Too many rigs block access to the home owners further down the road. Nice walk but respect those that live near by.

The trail above the falls had more snow than expected. I had no snow shoes with me so hiked back on the creek trail which was also snow covered. I look forward to coming back!

Absolutely stunning! Not a great view of the falls though.

I have done this trail three times!! Beautiful ending but the scenery is not the best in Bend during the hike.

Beautiful hike... Very easy

You can see the Falls from the trailhead. However the gravel road to trailhead is closed, so it is a 3 mile easy hike with no elevation from where you park to the trailhead. Continuing on, trail had icy spots

This was an easy hike. Majority of it is walking up a gravel road but the scenery isn't horrible. Tried to get back to double falls but encountered to much ice on the trail. There is also a trail to get behind the falls and to the bottom

My favorite time of year to hike the Green Lakes trail is in the late summer to see the wildflowers. I've also been in the late fall (snowfall permitting) though and it was just as beautiful!

Loved the view, this was an absolutely beautiful winter hike! I’d definitely recommend hiking past the top of the first falls, following the river for another mile or so to Double Falls. Level, flat and easy for a majority of the way, the last 1/4 mi to the top of the Falls provides a slight incline for children. The trail loop will begin on a service road, but the loop back was much more enjoyable, in the woods, and secluded. When you hit Silverlake Lodge at the end, the single road bridge next to it will bring you back to the start.

We hiked out and back along the road, in about 4-5 inches of snow. Very flat, easy hiking even with all the snow. Falls were gorgeous. Beautiful day. Our dog loved it too.

I went during the winter/snow time so the road was closed. The majority of the hike is on a pretty wide road, took both my german shepherds off leash the entire hike (they are very friendly). Easy hike, defiantly family friendly.

Amazing hike! Went all the way up to the tarn and it was worth it, saw a goat as well! Ended up doing this hike after running into closure left and right due to fires in Sept. Road to get to the trail head was long and bumpy... had to drive slow to get there in my small sedan. Only passes two people the entire time on the hike.
