HikingGreat!

Great hike! Beautiful waterfall at the end. We started in the afternoon and got back to the car around 5p. A park ranger wrote fire hazard/trail closed on all the parked cars. Trail entrance roped off when we finished. Sunday 9/20

Love the waterfall and the bridge over Dry Creek! Logs currently down on the trail as mentioned ... some are challenging to navigate but doable. The parking lot right off the bridge of the Gods was closed today (Sat. 19th) but if after coming off of the bridge road you make 3 right turns and go under the freeway and go straight onto the gravel road for a short bit you can park on a gravel area near the trail (this is the starting point in the All Trails hike route).

I hiked this back in 2012, and the trail has completely changed. It was very fascinating observing the wildfire damage back in 2017. The trail was in good condition however defiance trail #413 has about 40 downed logs to scurry over as well as very slippery dirt and gravel on the way back down. I would not hike this trail again just because of that. The view at the top was just as beautiful as I thought it would be!!

PARKING: there a 2 lots you can park at. first is on the left directly under the bridge or take the exit towards the bridge on the right and there is a lot there. So no need to park in the neighborhood. Trail is easy, less than 1000 feet of elevation gain. You can see much evidence of the fire from 2017. Its very cool to see how nature heals and comes back. Lots of debris on the trail. Also several downed trees that can be climbed over but definitely not fun. im including pictures so you know what you are getting into. I started at. 9 am on a Wed and practically had the place to myself. Waterfall is pretty cool to see. You can get very close up. i suggest long pants to make the climb over all the tree branches easier. i wore shorts and have lots of scratches to show for it.

Number of trees down due to a bad wind storm a week or two ago, but you can scramble past them. Waterfall was lovely. Pretty shaded the whole way.

WalkingGreat!

Only observation area open but stunning views! We didn’t need a reso even though it says you do. They Had a place for a line on Labor Day but we got there early (8:30am) and were able to walk right up! Beautiful!

HikingGreat!

Started at Bridge of the Gods trailhead and followed PCT #400. Easy, gradual incline hiking up to the falls. A couple of downed trees, but you can get over and around them just fine. Gorgeous falls! You can get really close to it. Started the hike at 9:30am yesterday on Labor Day. Didn't see too many people on our way up, but on our way back down, it got a lot busier.

Restaurant/Gift Shop open. Website says trail open to the lower observation area by RESERVATION ONLY. However, there is a walk up line as well. Maybe a Labor Day weekend exception? Spent 30 minutes in line starting at the snack bar.

Nice trail and a good work out. It was pretty packed with tourists and for quite a ways up. I would mark it as heavily trafficked. Annoying to have to keep putting your mask back on. The falls were pretty.

Great views! Tough going and very rocky. If you‘we klutzy like me, you had to stop to enjoy the views because otherwise you end up stubbing your toe or tripping. In September, there was no water to be seen in the creek. Also, the path it shows if you’re recording is very inaccurate and confusing.
