HikingGreat!

kind of a mish mosh of hikes. wherever you end up be sure to give yourself an hour to hang out around Thor's well and the various blowholes around it. be patient and watch nature put on a show.

Great views, steep trail but not too difficult. The entire trail is open. We crossed paths with very few people. The lower trail head is easy to miss, which we did, and drove to the upper parking lot to begin the hike. It’s nice to have ocean views along the way.

Gorgeous coastline but overrun with people, even on a weekday. Tide pools are virtually empty.

Beautiful scenic hike. Parking at the visitor’s center ideal for large vehicles and offers a pedestrian tunnel so you don’t have to worry about crossing the highway.

10/4/20: SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!! We got so lucky with the weather. This is an awesome trail that you can rake wheelchairs and strollers on. You can choose to go down to the water or not (can’t with wheels) and therefor choose your own difficult and length.

absolutely stunning. great place to explore tidal pools!! while the hike is kid-friendly, keep in mind that the actual thor's well is off the trail closer to the ocean and could potentially be very dangerous if you have kids that like to run/explore without warning- I was grateful I did this one myself first.

lots of fun watching the waves billow. you can easily extend the hike by meandering up-and-down the coast and rocks.

WalkingGreat!

This is a nice place for an easy walk with some world class coastal views. It parallels Hwy 101 so its often busy but its nice to stretch the legs, if time is limited.. WHALES have begun to feed here (this area is a Marine Reserve) on their way south. Friday 8/28, incoming tide at sunrise. There is a nice lookout and bench just up the trail from Devils Churn stairway. Watched a number of whales feeding close enough to shore, that one can see their colors and dorsal fin with the naked eye. Had the place to ourselves. If your able to pay the 5 bucks to park at Devils Churn, it helps keep easy access open for older or disabled folks. If you need the 5 bucks, park at the next roadside parking area south of the Churn, There is improved trail access and no fee.

Parked at a pull out on the west side, just north of the visitor center (free). A trail started at the lot and took us to a scenic overlook, the coastal tide pools, and Thor's Well. Not to mention lots of blackberry bushes! Truly amazing views, especially near sunset.

Was easy to get to. You get to appreciate how strong the waves are crashing into the shore.

Beautiful beach with amazing tide pools. Thor’s well is right there and we were able to see 4-5 whales feeding the entire time we were there. Loved this area

Very nice trail through ferny forest. The giant Spruce part was easy peasy but the trail to Saint Perpetua was a little more challenging with a steady uphill climb. Views of the ocean were great and a little more enjoyable than the top which is a drive up viewing spot and therefore a lot busier. Overall, really enjoyed the hike.
