*yellow jackets* This is an awesome hike that we do each time we visit! It's a wonderful loop with some of the most incredible old growth Spruce & Doug Fir trees. There's also hemlock & cedars along the creek....just a gorgeous hike that's also a nice workout. We saw the previous post warning about bees & also ran into them today... No warning, but luckily we only got stung once apiece. We ran like crazy people though! We hiked the loop clockwise from the visitor center & they were maybe a half mile up from the bottom of Gwynn Creek (up from where the Coast Trail meets Gwynn Creek). We also let the visitor center know...still no signs or notices out, so proceed with caution. Otherwise, this hike is seriously a gem & you'll barely see anyone else.
