Kingfisher Trail is just one of many trails within Winton Woods Park. A parking lot and picnic grounds are located at the trail head. One may also access it by walking the multi-use (West Branch) paved path that goes past the Visitors Center and more parking. No restrooms at Kingfisher Trail but there are several inside the Visitors Center. The Kingfisher Trail is slightly rugged and the lower portion gets flooded especially in the springtime. But it's a lovely place to walk and spend some time viewing nature.Show more

The West Branch Trail connects the Harbor Trail loop to the side of the park west of Winton Road and ultimately to the parking lots by the Kingfisher Trail trailhead. (West Branch and Harbor Trails can readily be combined into a lollipop configuration.) It passes the park road, some meadow/prairie areas, trees, some park buildings, and even a rain garden. At the east end, the West Branch Trail passes under the Winton Road bridge over Winton Lake, and circles around (like an interstate ramp) to meet the Harbor Trail, which also goes on the bridge. To drive in, park admission rates for Hamilton County residents/non-residents are $5/$8 daily or $10/$15 for an annual permit that is good for all Hamilton County Parks.Show more
