Explore the most popular trails in Sharon Woods Metro Park with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

More easy than moderate. Well shaded and well paved. A quick and easy family path. You will see people frequently. No bikes no pets. It gets 3 stars because apparently I like a bit more of a challenge.

Very pretty well kept clean trail. Multiple “doggie stations” with trash cans and baggies throughout the trail. Some small patches of unshaded area but a lot through the woods. There are small trails off the main path flagged with orange bands that lead down to the creek which are very helpful. Mildly trafficked and people hike in both directions so you will likely pass other hikers. Trails overlap so be sure to follow the maps. Easy to extend your hike by jumping on a different trail and catching back up later. Will visit again!

This trail had lots of shade and some spots with no shade which is fine. The paths were like rock pavement so it was easy to walk on. They keep it very clean and well kept. There’s not a lot of traffic so that’s a plus and it’s a good hike even for almost 80 degree weather! I would highly recommend this to people who like walking through the woods and enjoying peace!

Outstanding loop. Good for your indoor friends who want to see nature up close, but not too close.

great 4 mile hike, but hard to follow without this map.

It’s only 3.8 mile trail not 4.2. Also, you can have dogs on a leash anywhere but on the trails which is pretty dumb to me. Park itself is beautiful though

Dog friendly trail in Sharon woods Metropark. Beautiful scenery, wooded and field trail, creek views, easy and quick.

Nice loop to hike. Plenty of wildlife.

It’s a clean easy trail......only issue with me is it’s not my kind of trail, it is paved and you have the sounds of a busy freeway playing the whole time. Nothing wrong with it for a good casual walk.

great kid friendly trail. two bridges over the creek. great overlook point.

I would recommend this trail for anyone looking to have a bit of a push but nothing strenuous. It is a great loop and I got over 10,000 steps on the 4.2 miles. Very scenic and quiet.

I went on the winter hike a few weeks ago. We actually did the 2mi route twice. Definitely a good workout. We returned last week and walked the Loop. It was a good long and beautiful trek!

I don’t count this an easy trail as a runner because one mile of the 3.8 mile paved course is quite hilly. I’m talking “check your brakes” kind of hills. Biking is fun, but running those hills challenges you if your fitness level isn’t good. The path is paved and well-maintained. Traffic in the path is never busy, which is nice. I almost always get a glimpse of either deer or wild turkeys. In the winter, those hills are great for sledding and that’s just about the only time I’ve seen the trail crowded.

Walked the lake and spring creek trails. Nice scenery. Good for a 45-60 min nature walk. The spring creek trail is pet friendly.

Sharon Woods is one of my favorite metro parks, partly because it is rarely as trafficked and busy despite being right off the highway. The park and trails are clean and well maintainted. Not sure why AllTrails only lists one trail here - there are actually several.
