Starting from the Old Portage Area, this paved and crushed gravel trail follows along a wooded path.
Accessibility: This concrete, packed gravel, dirt trail is estimated to typically be at least 6 feet wide. The slope is estimated to be moderately steep and range from -11% (downhill) to 11% (uphill) grade. The steepest sections, below 8% grade downhill, are estimated to be at about the 1.2, 4.2, and 4.8 through 4.9 mile marks. There are 2 ADA-designated car parking spots, 1 with an access aisle at the small paved trailhead lot.
The most accessible portion of this trail according to the park website is the first half mile of this trail. The slope of this section is estimated to be mostly gentle to moderately steep and reach 7% grade up and downhill.
