Very fun moderate path. Struggled a bit with bad signage but had a great time.

Great day hike. Going to the falls first is a good idea. You will face the hardest part of the hike on those 5 miles. The only part I disliked was a slight walk on the road from the fire tower to the overlook. Let’s face it....people can’t drive lol. After the overlook you go straight down hill...don’t run down. Missed the turn not realizing it was mid hill. No big deal you can walk the cabin road to entrance or cross the river. The last 5 is a nice trek besides the river. The hardest part on the last stretch is the stairs back to the parking at the dam. Warning my watch said it was closer to 12 miles not 10.

Pretty trail along the river. The waterfall was pretty underwhelming when we went but I imagine it would be prettier in the spring or after a huge rain storm. Agree that it was moderate. There were spots with elevation change and scrambling over rocks, but nothing too difficult.

great hike! probably more moderate than hard, but there was a bit of up and down. fairly lightly traveled as well...only came across two other groups even on a weekend.

Nice fairly flat trail with some rocks and roots for a Sunday stroll. Next to the Mohican River the majority of the way. Used it to help get the children ready for something bigger and test a new pack. 7.5 round trip.

Combining the 6 mile loop with some of the bike trails makes this a much more challenging hike. It's a beautiful little loop with lots of shade and the river is fun to relax by in the summer because of the tube and canoe traffic.

Great trail, I didn't encounter many other people on the trail but several near the river on kayaks or tubes. Wish I'd had brought a tube in my backpack for the way back, would have been cool to hike from the campground to the falls and then tube back on the river. I did 6-8 miles roughly and it was a nice hike, I'd definitely say moderate not hard.

If you like walking in the woods, along a river, by a water fall, climbing a fire tower, looking over a gorge, being almost alone in nature, then this trail is for you! This is one of my favorite trails in Ohio. Starting at Pleasant Hill Dam and going to the Lyons Falls Trail, most of the up and down hill hiking will be on the first half of the 10 mile hike. After crossing the bridge where the cabins are and near the main campground, the path is a level hike along the Mohican River and through the woods. Wonderful sights and smells of nature!

Easy, enjoyable trail along the river. Plenty of wildflowers and nice views. There were many people fly fishing, kayaking, trail running and birding. The pit toilets were clean and easy to find. I went on a Saturday but there was plenty of parking and and the trail wasn’t overcrowded.

The river was so pretty
Falls were somewhat underwhelming
The hike back was hard ! Good workout to climb up

This trail is a nice switch from our usual Hog Hollow hike! It’s quiet and you see very few other hikers on the trail. Watch for the bikes though!

We went while it was snowing... so a handful of places were icy. It was beautiful, very quiet and a fun adventure to start our day! It was marked very well. I can only imagine how beautiful it is during the fall!! We only did the big/little Lyon Falls. Then back to the cover bridge and down to hog hollow! Can’t wait to come back.

Very fun hike! My wife, 10-year old daughter and I really enjoyed the varied elevations and beautiful views of the river. I would say the hike was really more of a moderate level, but a great time nonetheless.

Awesome trail even during winter months, with friendly hikers and mountain bikers. A couple of well placed picnic tables to grab a snack. Probably moderate in difficulty.

Beautiful & scenic trail along the river.

Easy trail to the falls. Heavily used trail. Not sure I would call either one of the trails with the name sale of Falls ... a water fall. Barely a trickle at both.

The trail gave us a the distance and a little of the incline we were looking for. Some spots were not well marked and a long trek runs close to a highly traveled road so we heard the rush of traffic when we wanted to hear the calm of nature. We added a section of trail along a creek and got our nature fill and 8 miles in. It is a good trail and a good workout. We'll go back.

This was a beautiful hike! I do wish this park had some longer trails (my group wasn't ready to be done at the end of this one, so we did the gorge trail as well). The trails are very well-maintained and we all really enjoyed it.

beautiful trail.

Beautiful trail. It's not really a loop and I did 10.6 miles on it today starting at the campground checkin, to the Lyons Falls and then back. The maps along the trail are really helpful. You have to walk through the campground to get to the remainder of this route but it's definitely hilly, along the water, well marked. Great trip!

We love this trail. It's more challenging on one side where Lyon's Falls are, and we love the falls. We crossed the Covered Bridge and went back Pleasant Hill Trail because it is flat and easy after a long day of hiking Mohican. This time of year it is really muddy and slippery, but still very fun and beautiful.

I suggest staying at the Lodge one time when you come, but you're bound to stay a lot! After hiking we came back to the Lodge for a swim and sit in the sauna. Now it's time for dinner and drinks....perfect ending to a perfect day out here in Mohican.

This hike relies on about 4 miles of Mountain biking trail to make an actual loop. More moderate than hard, though there is Decent elevation.

The scenic out and back down the river (Hemlock Gorge) will still clock your 6 miles and offer much more to see.

For a true moderately difficult trail with plenty of elevation and scenic views, check out Hog Hollow and Lyons Falls trails!

Very good experience. Gorgeous waterfall and the trails are extremely well marked. Couple fun but tricky crossing of little water streams (traversing a fallen tree). Met a Ranger at the trail head and she was super nice and gave me a map and advice . Will definitely go back.

Went up the Mtn bike trail today - great view!

Only reason it's not getting 5 stars is because of heavy traffic. Great trail, with a stream crossing if water is high. The bottom of Big Lyons falls was frozen but only about a foot, just wasn't cold enough.
