I hiked only a portion of this from Habron trail to Greenbriar trail. Pretty views of lake where it makes you feel like your no longer in Ohio at points. He trail splits a couple points so pay close attention to signs.

Nothing spectacular with this this trail. It’s a less traveled shortcut from the campsites to Habron/Bobcat/Copper trail. It intersects immediately after you hop a stream at a point that that doesn’t show 100% exact to the map. The key is walk a bit further to the north and there the more signs for Habron.

Hiked this trail on 5.13.18. Nice hike. The maps in the park are not exact so you’ll need use your best judgement in some sections where trails intersect or split but aren’t parked. You’ll cross some small streams and move around downed trees. A hike if properly timed can be capped with a trip through greenbrier trail up the Lake Hope Lodge for some excellent food and drinks. Enjoy!

Nice hike along a brook. Didn’t see anyone else on it.

Lovely views of the lake, plus a little more elevation than the furnace trail. It’s not very secluded.

Liked that it was a loop that lets you see the whole lake. Buggy.. good exercise!

This trail is well maintained and follows a part of the lake. The views are not that spectacular but it's an easy trail and pretty in autumn. I see lots of kids and families on this hike. Good for birding.

Trails drain very well. Great biking with nice elevation gain/descents with very few points where we were forced to hop off to clear trees ect... This seemed to primarily be a mountain bike trail to me. We saw way more people on bikes than on foot. You can combine this with Bobcat and Yosemite to make a long day on the trails.

We hiked this trail in December 2014, shortly after Christmas. There wasn't any snow, but it was brisk. The upside was the trail was serene and we didn't pass any other hikers! It really is a pretty trail, and it was cool to see the furnaces. We walked back along the highway to make this a loop. There's a nice cluster of trails in this park, and we checked out several others, though this was our favorite.

Summer hiking is tough around here because of all the growth and bugs. The Lodge has fantastic food, but if you don't bring your bug spray you will make a good meal for the bugs.

I camped in the lake hope campground at a primitive site. Many of the hiking trails intersect the primitive areas which made it nice for my family and to camp and hike. The Lake Hope Lodge is within hiking distance and well worth the stop as it has some of the best pit BBQ's brisket in Ohio. Fun trails and very pretty for Ohio. The Furnace itself is cool for about 2 minutes and then you're ready to move on. Overall I've been there 3 times in the last 4 months. Cell phone reception can be poor in this area.
