Icy in some spots but still passable if you are careful. Worth the hike for sure. So many gorgeous spots. Lots of great picture opportunities too. One of my favorites for sure and will be coming back again!!!

It was a great hike for this chilly morning! Snow covered steps that were icy in some spots. Nice amount of icicles and really thick ice at the bottom of the waterfalls I just wish that kids/people wouldn’t write all over the little shelter found on the rim trail

The gorge trail is really beautiful, but very icy! Be careful!

Beautiful hike. Was a little icy today I would definitely suggest on icy days taking some sort of traction aids.

Very short walk but beautiful to walk on snow to the “cave” with a sandy floor. The flowing and frozen ice is beautiful!

This was a very fun trail on the tail-end of the deep freeze. The ice made it beautiful. Overall it’s a relatively easy hike and the cave is interesting.

Awesome trail. Easy hiking. Steps are a bit difficult for some maybe.

Beautiful hike defanitly go after some rain for the waterfalls

An incredibly beautiful walk through the gorge and on the rim. It is busy from the park office to the old mans cave then all the non-hikers turn back. Once you are past the old man’s cave the number of hikers decreases immensely. It’s a beautiful, peaceful walk that has only a few moderate areas of hiking. I will definitely be back.

Beautiful!!!

We always skipped Cantwell Cliffs because I thought it was a climbing area. We went today for the first time and loved it! We did both trails and will definitely recommend them to fellow hikers. A good place to bring trekking poles and waterproof shoes. Lots of weathered/steep stairs to navigate and several stream crossings.

Pretty but very crowded

Great Family hike. Dog friendly. Endless photo opportunities!

Perfect!

Great trail, I little wet this time of year. There are also a few downed trees between Cedar Falls and Ash Cave.

Great set of trails! Stunning views of sandstone cliffs, multiple waterfalls, a gorge view and gorge trails, a tunnel into the sandstone, and of course, the cave. Be aware construction is going on at the Visitor Center (Dec '18) and a couple exit trails are closed as a result, plus construction noise sucks.

Easiest and possibly one of the most beautiful spots in the Hocking Hills trail system. Trail is paved and handicap accessible. there is a small loop option for the fully-abled, to go into the cave and behind the waterfall. Have already been here a few times, even took my cat in his harness and leash - he loved it too.

Beautiful hike, but be aware that if you start at the Cedar Falls parking lot trail head, there are a LOT of steps with varying heights, from 3" to 12". They begin and end the hike. I would rate this trail moderate based on that.

Another day exploring the “this is not a trail” (s) with my person.Great hike and great captures☺️ 

we've been going here for years! never knew it was considered hard
