Today was super muddy and the trails were really hard to read. All in all though I found it OK challenging not super hard there was a small portion of the trail that was a serious incline but other than that was fairly easy. I would like to come back maybe in the summer or spring when we haven’t had so much rain

Beware that this a hard trail even thought it is rated as moderate. I would say definitely go for the conditioning. The uphill section is very steep. To make this even more challenging the terrain is extremely uneven and there are loose rocks/nuts on the ground, making steep elevation changes a little tricky. The only drawback to this trail is that I found the scenery extremely monotonous. And also watch out for horse poop on the trail.

Very poor markings. Took me nearly 20 minutes to walk around the park just to see where the trail started. There is a sign that shows what trails are available, but doesn’t show where they start. Plus I ended up going on a trail I didn’t even want to. That’s how poor it’s marked. But the Spring Run Trail is very easy to accomplish.

Although the first quarter mile has brush creeping into the narrow trail and lots of horse poo, it quickly clears and widens before the ascent begins. Take a left at trail marker A for the best challenge. I would rate this trail difficult due to the incredibly steep incline, but it's excellent training for the Smokies! I'll definitely be going back!

Not very well marked.

While I really enjoyed this hike, Moderate in not how I would describe it. It is really hard, I thought, and with the leaves and tree nuts on the ground, it was like walking on ball bearings. I found myself on my behind more than once. But it really was beautiful for a late November day, we saw 5 deer, a couple of woodpeckers and piles of squirrels. And our dog had a blast.

This is not an easy trail if you go the whole way!! Don't underestimate, very steep inclines.

Decent area for a trail run, lots of up and down , but the trail was fairly clear. We saw a lot of deer, both on the way in and while hiking. Very private and secluded, HOT in the summer with humidity.

Challenging steepness on the ascent but worth it.

some challenging hill climbs and gorgeous foliage!

Bunker Hill Trail is a nice hike around with a couple of points to climb to the top. The approach to this trail has a bit of a steep climb to Mark R. Otherwise, once on the trail you experience little change in elevation. There are plenty of mountain bikers on this trail - so be ready for some who approach quickly.

The path on this Lick Run Trail is well-defined. There are some nice ups and downs - you'll feel like a roller coaster at times. Mountain bikers share the trail, so you'll see parts of the trail venture off for bikers to enjoy a ramp/jump occasionally.

Enjoy this mix of elevation - with half the trail a steep ascent and the other half fairly flat. It's a short point-to-point trail with some possible sighting of dear, a pond (near Marker CC), and some quiet paths deep in the forest. There can be the occasional mountain biker - so be attentive.

For the Mt. Ives Connector trail - Fun edge walking with the thrill of some steep hillsides. It's a narrow trail at times as you wind your way up Mt. Ives from Marker W. It's worth the ascent up Mt. Ives Trail to take this connector trail to the Shawnee Ridge Trail. During the winter months you can see some great views of the surrounding hillside. During the rest of the year, the forest is dense and provides great solitude in your hike. There can be an occasional mountain biker - albeit rare.

If you want a short walk, run, or trail exercising -- this is the trail for you! With several stations peppered along this trail for added workouts, you can get all your exercise needs in one stop. Plus, the added views of the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Trail path is wide and easy to navigate.

Enjoyable hike with a burst of strenuous activity about midway through. Ascend Sugarloaf Mountain for a challenge that will leave you sweating on the coldest of days. Reach the top for some great glimpses of the surrounding foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Bring a hammock in the milder months and enjoy a nice breeze and a nap. For this hike, it was a cold day (~25 F) and still enjoyed it all!

This trail can easily be rated as an easy trail. If you've hiked anywhere besides flat states like Ohio this incline is extremely easy.

Great Seal was a fun and challenging hike. We started at parking lot B (I think) and worked our way through small hills and then up the side of a relatively small, but steep elevation. Getting to the top wasn't easy but the view and accomplishment was well worth it!

We hiked south from the camp ground on the blue trail all the way to southern point of the trail. We then came back on mostly blue trail but added a few others in there to mix it up at times. We hiked 15 miles in all & it was awesome. Some parts of the trails are extremely steep & challenging but worth the effort. Trails marked well for the most part. Will definitely be hiking here again.

Moderate / Advanced trail. Great inclines and good terrain features. It will test your land navigational skill so be prepared to have a trail map and do some terrain association since the trails are marked bellow eye level and at times on the rocks. (Ground)

We packed day packs and took a a light lunch. Look for the camp sites of the yellow / blue trails.

Last but not least if you go the day after a rain - pack extra socks and pants. Muddy - muddy and more mud

This trail plus a few others you can make about a 14 mile hike! Not alot of people once you get a mile or so from the parking lot. Nice views ....

This is a great hike close to the city. Strenuous due to steep grades ,quite, great views, First time here we went across and back fairly easy other than the steep hills! Beautiful rock formations and plenty of big trees! You can get maps at the trail head or main entrance.

I thought this park was pretty nice. It was secluded and had some awesome viewpoints, and had some really challenging hills that made for a great workout. It had nice scenery and was fairly well-kept, and also had lots of trails that were loops - which are nice so you never see the same thing twice. Overall not a stunning place, but a very nice park especially for those who are training for a big hike or who want to get away for a while.

We did a small portion of the trails last summer. Had to call a halt due to it getting dark but plan to return to do more hiking there. There are geocaches on some of the trails.

There are several trails and hills that you can weave together or omit to make your hike as long or short as you would like. Nature is always scenic. The vistas from these trails vary especially with the seasons. I especially like the set of trails surrounding Bunker Hill. I find this park to be an excellent place to run my dogs.

A a weekend hiker I found this trail a bit difficult. Its certainly not a trail for a novice. Lots of steep uphill assents, and loose gravel is a problem on the desending side. Horses have dug deep ruts in the trail that the hiker must straddle. I believe a walking stick would be most helpful.

Intensity is high on the southern tails. Not as senic as I'd have hoped.
