I like this short trail because I never see another soul hiking down in Meigs Co. I've seen lots of Bobcat tracks here. Nice for birding, easy and peaceful. Bring your kayak and paddle the lake or head down the road and use the Ohio river access and paddle all day. This park has the biggest campground I've seen down here and it's basically empty.

The first part of the trail was in the woods with views of the lake. Pretty views with uphill climb. Many gully wash out areas so wear water protected shoes. After about 40 min. you circled back around on a higher level and the trail was in the very overgrown field. Once you were on top of the hill the path was cut and it was much easier going. Needs alittle clearing but a nice hike.
