The hiking trail here is not a loop trail unless you take the tiny 0.6 mile loop close by. I turned this into a nice 3 mile loop by hiking east on the bike trail until it hit the hiking trail at the Archery Range and then followed the hiking trail back to the parking lot. This is a nice walk and there were no bikes out for me to be in the way. I dropped one star because this should be a hiking trail. Unfortunately, Dillon has a better bike trail system than they do a hiking trail system. Not sure I understand that.

The loop part is only .5 mile, but you can walk along the beach and fishing areas to add distance.

Nice trail. Fairly well maintained. Lots of elevation change.

Mostly hardwoods forest lots of small streams with some lake views.

A very nice, peaceful trail, especially in the fall. A great supplement to camping in Dillon State Park.
