This park along the Cuyahoga River has waterfalls, hills, trails, and displays about early rural living. The Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail follows the Ohio and Erie Canal, where mules towed canal boats. The park has numerous historic homes, bridges, and structures.

Quick and accessible trail leading to a beautiful water fall.

Great peaceful hike through a wooded area leading to one of the area waterfalls. Great nature trail

Go see it if you can find it! The end is amazing, keep walking no matter what until you can’t go any further. You will know!

What an adventure this trail was! Well marked, saw six or seven hikers with their dogs. The map was a lot of help because of the various forks in the trail. A little loud from the turnpike traffic, but the trail leads you right up close to it which was pretty cool!

The last mile or so is currently closed off from a landslide. When you hit the abandoned road the second time, go back to where the trail spit you out the first and take it all the way back.

I stupidly wanted the challenge of climbing up the landslide, which was incredible to do, but so so dangerous!! The soil was incredibly loose, so please dont attempt it!!

Awesome trail. Would hike again!

This was a very fun trail, especially in the mud. There are a couple of good climbs that will give a nice workout. Compared to some of the other trails around here it could be considered hard but I didn't think it was too difficult. Beautiful hiking and will repeat.

One of CVNP’s most popular hikes. Great for kids and kids at heart who like to climb around the ledges. Nice view from the top.

This trail was beautiful! Highly recommend for an early afternoon hike. Pretty easy and relaxing!

This hike I found to be easy at parts and difficult in others. We attempted to go down the hill where the mud slide was but the trees were so bad and the trail was destroyed on the other side of the creek. So listen to signs unless you want to fight through some trees or make the walk back up the hill. Other than that everything was awesome. The trail gets super muddy at parts even when it hasn't rained. There's a part where you end up by the highway and it gets loud. It was very beautiful overall and a challenging hike.

Beautiful trail, lots of steps and a big hill, but totally worth it. Its mileage is what it says, but you can take the cut off partway through if you don't want it to be as long.

This hike really is two parts, the really pretty waterfall right at the beginning and then a trek through the woods following the stream. Both are interesting but plan for a short hike if you are only interested in the waterfall.

combining ledges and Pine Trail make for a wonderful 5 mile hike. Ledges Trail is the centerpiece of Cuyahoga National Forest. although only 2 miles long be prepared to wander off-trail through the stunning rock formations along this Trail. Pine Trail is a 3-mile loop that showcases the deciduous trees and Lush plant life of Cuyahoga

Must see trail, be ready to be amazed and to stray off the trail to see even more amazing views.

Beautiful hike!

Nice hike and had an had an unusual event at the end. There was a guy proposing to his girlfriend She said YES!!

Great hike! The falls are beautiful!!

This is a beautiful trail to hike when there is snow on the ground. I went on a weekday so there were not many people around. Great place to take the family.

A beautiful trail! Part of it is “closed” due to a mud slide but when you get to the caution tape if you go to the left of it over the creek you can find a new path and way to the main trail. A good workout and only saw three people.

I found this trail kinda boring. On the upside, it is quiet (except for the people ...lots of traffic) and peaceful. On the downside I found it dark and uninteresting. It is an easy hike ...good if you want a fun adventure with grade school age kids, or a fun walk in the woods if you aren't really into hiking. Serious hikers will be disappointed.

nice challenging hike to get to a beautiful destination

This starts at a Blue Hen Falls (or you could start at Boston Mills and take the Buckeye Trail connector to Blue Hen)...pops our behind the ski resort...takes the Towpath to Stanford House...and then follows the Stanford Trail to Brandywine Falls.
Some good challenging hills. Beautiful scenery. Not a marked trail though - needed to check the app frequently to make sure I was on the right route.

I expect the distance is the reason for the moderate rating...but this is a pretty flat, easy hike with only one steeper hill midway. Well marked and maintained.

Maybe I took a wrong turn but this started out easy, but got very steep and kinda tough. Beautiful scenery, water and wildlife. Just not easy for someone with a bad knee. My dog loved it!

Great Hike! Starts out with lots of built in stairs...definitely thought the terrain was moderate. Great for a good workout!

This was a great trail it is harder for the area mostly because of the ups and downs but certainly not difficult. There are a lot of opportunities on the trail to shorten your hike from the 4.4 miles which was nice. Currently part of it was closed due to landslide so we had do the last quarter of our hike back on the beginning part. We started the loop clockwise from the parking lot.

The trail is almost 100% shaded. It’s longer but an easy trail to walk. On Memorial Day found very few people who were hiking.

This was the perfect trail for the first time hiker like myself. It got a little boring just past the halfway point but doing the entire loop without taking the shortcuts was well worth it. The climbs especially the one at the home stretch, were amazing, my legs & glutes got a great workout! Next time I'll pack bug spray and check out the scenery, the gullies and ravines looked very intriguing!

This was a lot of fun and was definitely rewarding at the end. It was a bit busier when we were there but overall great hike. Also remember good hiking shoes because it does get wet and slippery!

This trail is so fun to ride. It’s not so much mountain biking (pretty flat and mostly paved/gravel), but beautiful scenery and fun shops, restaurants, and bars along the way.
