Description

Icelandic State Park is located on the north shore of Lake Renwick and offers visitors a wide array of recreational opportunities as well as North Dakota's homesteading heritage and its natural beauty. Boating, swimming and fishing for northern pike and other game fish are popular activities. The park is also home to the Pioneer Heritage Center, restored historic buildings and Gunlogson Homestead and Nature Preserve. This early homestead preserves the state's pioneer spirit, while the 200-acre natural wooded area along the Tongue River is a sanctuary for plants, birds and wildlife.
