1st part very good then a lot of unmentioned steps going up then nice and the same steps going down then nice again. If you have any knee issues, as we both do, I don’t not recommend this trail. I would give the top and bottom a 5, the step section a zero.

Nice short trail following a Creek and moving up some bluffs. No big payoff view at the end but nice views of River and off the bluffs throughout. The trail smells a bit at the beginning due to a water treatment plant but it goes away quickly

This is a nice short hike that follows Swift Creek before climbing up and over the bluff and then returning. It was a pretty setting, with some early fall color in the leaves during my visit.

Very nice area. I got a great workout in only about an hour. Caution: Mosquitos were horrible. I received 16 bites. Wear long sleeves and use plenty of insect repellant.

Beautiful scenery and those stairs will get you. I found several carnivorous plants. The kids loved playing along the edge of the Creek.

A quick hike. Compared to most of the local trails, it feels remote: once you're a quarter of a mile in, you don't hear anything but the creek. The trail and the stairs up the bluffs are well maintained.

Considering the location (surrounded by neighborhoods) it's a very nice trail. Good variety and inclines. Great for getting out for a short hike when you only have an hour or so to spare.

Had cabin fever and this was trail was nearby, had driven past the trail head many times and had heard the bluffs were higher than at Hemlock Bluffs. Access is next to pump house on Holly Springs road, from Lochmere Birkhaven subdivision or from the cart path at Lochmere Golf Club. Trail is short but offers a lot of variety - flat along Swift Creek, and wooden steps lead up to the top of the bluff and then back down the other side. Since it was winter, you could easily see the creek way below the bluff from the top through the trees. Interesting short hike.
