Great flowing trails. Clear and clean. Took the entire family even my 5 yr old bmx track racer had fun. Well his breaks went out on a downhill fun causing him to eat it at the turn but all in all was a fun trail and lots of options to take harder trails.

We never found the trail head ! The path we did find if you are unable to have sure footing it is not. Walk for you. It was a very short distance but tricky!

delightful. precisely as described.

Came across this trailhead by accident while turning around in N.C. heading to GA line. Walked a majority of the loop and it was well marked and maintained. Going to be back kayaking in September.

Very nice easy trail. Well marked and enjoyed the numerous plants that were identified with signage. The trail is shared with bikers but everyone we encountered was respectful and courteous.

It was a great hike not too long, but you definitely get a workout. There are some cute waterfalls along the trail, however, the view is not as great as expected.

7/26/18 - We had a blast on this trail. The drive to it was extremely easy and it’s really close to Franklin. It’s a long hike with some elevation so be ready, but the view from WIlliams Pulpit is worth every step. We went a little beyond the pulpit but stopped shortly after as we knew we still had 2 miles to make it back to the car.

Mellow trail out and back with a few pretty waterfalls and a nice payoff view. We are avid hikers from Colorado and it took us a little over 1.5 hours (out and back) at a relaxed but brisk pace. Would recommend for a close day hike to Franklin, NC

After hiking the Foothills Trail four times I have seen this one enough. Besides I like Upper Whitewater Falls better..

Great flowing trails. Actual mileage of all trails is more than 14 miles. Will definitely go again.

July 3, 2018. Enjoyed this trail with 11 and 13 year olds -- 4 hours to summit and back including snack and rest at the top. It was definitely a moderate hike, challenging but fun -- no climbing over boulders.

took a logging road to reach the falls, difficult to find the trail head. The falls are pretty but there's been a substantial rock fall that makes them hard to view. There's also a pungent odor in the area making this seem more like sewage rather than mountain stream.

Gorgeous river and waterfalls. Great swimming holes at the base of the initial decent. However this trail does not allow camping due to whitewater corridor protection (the reason for the 3 star rating). However we hiked to Thompson river, 2.7 miles past the turnaround. This was a spectacular 4 star hike. Next time we will start at Bad creek parking to get to Thompson river. (A lot of ticks in June!)

Nice view at the pulpit but very hot there so we did not stay long. Brought our two dogs. Plenty of water along the way for them to sip & cool down. Our 15 year old who is not an avid hiker enjoyed this hike.

Great trail to bike. The red trail was a little muddy yesterday afternoon

Such a fun place!

Wonderful, well marked trail on your way into or home from North Carolina. The instant look at the waterfall gives you a great start to what quickly turns into an uphill climb. From there the narrow and well worn trail will offer you great views in either direction as you make it up to Willams Pulpit. From there you can choose to continue on the Bartram trail or take it back downhill.

Nice hike for everyone! Several well-marked trails with great views.

Glorious! We had the entire circuit to ourselves and only saw the occasional fisherman. We walked several of the loops.

Great easy walking trail. Well marked and level. Nice lake/mountain views.

map tool us to a private sd with no trail access.

Great place close to house. Short hike.

I love this waterfall! Once you find it, it is easy to get to. It is close to my home so I like to take friends to it.

Very nice family trail.

This is a good mountain bike trail, but I came to hike. there were nice views of the lake.

Enjoyed this trail. Easy to navigate, terrain was even with a few sloping areas, pretty views and well marked vegetation. The additional loops add extra trail if you want a bit more distance. Nice beach areas. Very clean.

All the trails Marked very well . Like how there are a lot of different loops to take off the main loop. Can choose your distance as you go

Short hike. Great views! Steep elevation change.

This is a steady uphill climb, with a pretty waterfall at the bottom & a gorgeous view at the top. Keep the view in mind when you want to quit (believe me, I thought about it). We both enjoyed the challenge, the quiet, and the stunning colors (the dog had fun too!).
