Great trail. Extremely windy at parts, but once you make it past those bits it starts to die down. Don’t follow the gps driving directions in because it will take you to a service road (blue ridge parkway was closed due to weather conditions), which you’re not supposed to use. We learned this upon returning to our car where a nice, but concerned park ranger was waiting to inquire about why we were parked there. Oops!

I’m still winded, the hike back up is rather rigorous.

It was a nice east walk. Went on a blurry snow day so not much of a view but still nice! Saw some beautiful deer!

absolutely breathtaking. one of our favorite trails. a hidden gem. sorda want to keep this one a secret so it stays unpopular.

A groomed, gradual-grade trail for any skill level. After departing the Moses H. Cone Craft Center area and emerging from the tunnel under the Parkway, the early views across rolling pastures and meadows give way to switchbacks through thick deciduous forest until you reach the summit and fire tower. Wonderful hike in the fall, with sweeping vistas across the beautiful Blue Ridge landscape.

Beautiful day and beautiful trail. Very easy walking and extremely pleasant with excellent views

I thoroughly enjoyed this hike yesterday, however, it is not marked well and I had to ask where to go to get started as there were several trails in the area. Be sure to follow the trail that goes beneath the bridge.

Very nice trail with great views. Accurately rated as easy but at the same time not just a stroll through the woods.

This was one of the most beautiful trails we found along the Parkway. We went about a mile, to the cemetery and up to the top of the grassy knob overlooking Grandfather Mountain and the city of Blowing Rock.

Beautiful and well maintained carriage trail.

Good for pics and family walks. Wide and flat path.

Beautiful well-maintained trail that goes through several changes in scenery. There are some great views near the top which provide great photo opportunities. I did this trail several years ago and it was just as good the second time around.

Very easy trail. More of a smooth gravel road and a lovely walk through the woods. Depending on what you are up to for the day, this is a great little mini walk just to get out in nature and rejuvenate before your day. Didn't even break a sweat. Great for kids and people who aren't hardcore hikers. :) Almost mostly full shade in the summer which is great in the summer.

Easy trail for anyone. Perfect for families, easy access for special needs, flat course for runners and nice to see the horses. Lots of shade and seating areas. Lots of nice spots for taking pictures.

Beautiful, wide gravel path that slowly turns up to Flat Top Mountain with great views all along the way. Exactly as advertised - easy and suitable for any time of year. It’s connected to a number of other paths in the area that I hope to come back to soon!

Disclaimer: this review is from someone who enjoys relatively challenging hikes. My 3 stars is because it lacks much challenge. If you're just someone looking to get out for a nice walk that provides a little uphill and an easy path, you'll enjoy this. It's also a horse trail so it's very well-kept

Great hike. 4 out of 5 is high praise. I’ve hiked the entire AT and only a few places along that 2190+/- miles are worthy of 5. Good footpath up to a carriage trail. Then a very nice footpath through an amazing butterfly haven. If you stop at the first clearing you’ll miss out on the butterflies. One review said that it was overgrown and not well maintained, that was NOT my experience.

Aunt Cindy and I hiked to the top of Flat Top Mountain Trail as our first AllTrails hike in North Carolina. #UMMazing trail - easy and well maintained. Please see my YouTube video - Search for "Uncl3Mik3Mik3 AllTrails"

Beautiful relaxing hike with nice smooth roads which make it easy to enjoy the lovely scenery.

This trail was amazing. It had the perfect balance of meadow and mountain scenery. The lookout tower at the top was a great final destination. This hike has a European feel which was very enchanting.

This is a well maintained road that is part of the Moses Cone park. It has a gradual climb and opens to great views.
