A few different loops to try, feels very open, easy to follow trails, nice scenery, a small amount of inclines throughout

The trail was well marked, very scenic. I didn't expect many people to be there today because it was 27 degrees out, however several groups were out hiking as well. I'm sure it gets pretty busy during the warmer months. I will definitely be back

On of the nicest short hikes in the Chapel Hill region I've walked so far. We were not alone in the woods though on a Saturday morning.

This is a very nice walk/hike with wide and very nicely maintained trails. Beautiful woods, some streams. Good also for a jog if you are careful.

One of the best trails starting from Mt. Sinai Rd near Duke Forest, the Triangle Land Conservancy has really done a great job with the donated land to create a 3 mile loop that covers wetlands, grasslands/fields, forests, streams, wildflowers, wildlife, fish, and a bit of elevation. Well marked, good parking, nice wide mostly smooth trail, great for trail running or just a place to escape. I saw fish in the stream, wildflowers along the way, raspberries, beautiful ferns, a hearty poplar tree growing out of an uprooted stump, and was treated to five deer bounding through the woods right in front of me in a straight line - it was absolutely amazing how fast they can cover uneven ground through dense woods with little or no sound. Various types of benches are well placed along the trail with views. Definitely a great trip for a family outing.

Great kid friendly hike with a variety of terrain.

Nice wide clean trails. Several trails so you can put together a really good hike. The creek has some nice views and seating benches are scattered through out the trail system. Really enjoyed this hike.

It's a pleasant trail with nice variety. Skip the Bluebird leg - everything else is more interesting.

Nice easy trail with many places to stop and sit.

One of our favorites. Specially nice in the late fall to early spring when you can appreciate the views through the mature hardwood stands.

Easy to access from 40 yet has rural feel and no road noise. Super easy--toddlers can walk this trail. Lots of cute dogs! After a rain the creek is rushing and beautiful. Great for a quick getaway from the real world!

There is parking on both Mt. Sinai and Turkey Farm roads. Robin's Trail runs between them, which is what I assume the description means by "a trail." In fact, this preserve has a series of trails, not just one.

My track and several others show a loop you can take. We walked the length of Robin's trail, from Mt. Sinai to Turkey Farm, then doubled back. At Beach Loop, we took a left and halfway around, turned left onto Old Field Bluff trail and took that to the end back on Robin's trail. The Alltrails app showed it to be almost 5 miles, when I factor in that I started a bit down the trail from the parking lot.

At any rate, it's a very nice hike with a great selection of mixed hardwoods and a few loblolly pines. Three creeks join together and there are nice bridges across all of them. This is suitable for running, as well, if you watch for the occasional root or rock. There were plenty of runners out today.

Easy hike. Not much up and down. Total distance about 3.5 miles. Mostly wooded with a few open spots.

If you hike Robin's Trail to the end and then pick up Beech Loop/Old Field Bluff Trail on the return trip, the hike is in the neighborhood of 4-4.5 miles.

Nice trail! Several different loops. The big one is the 3 miler. All trails use this spot as a walk in. Free parking for about 8 or 10 cars i'd estimate. Well worth the trip, it's really beautiful with many side trails leading to nice benches overlooking the winding stream in the area.
