Fun trail with some very steep, short hills. Creek runs near trail much of the way. I could see myself having a blast down in the creek as a child. The trail is paved at the Honeycutt Park end, so if you start the, don't be discouraged. It will eventually become a rustic trail.

Honeycutt Creek Greenway Trail is a very lightly trafficked, wooded trail connecting Honeycutt Park in the south to the Mountain-to-Sea Trail in the north. This is a mutli-use trail that cuts across state gamelands, and bow hunting is permitted at various times in the year. Blaze orange is recommended during hunting season. The city provides reflective orange vests to anyone wishing to hike the trail. They are located in steel boxes at the Durant Road and Raven Ridge Road trailheads. The trail is natural surface and very well maintained, with several new bridges along the path.

There is plenty of parking at Honeycutt park. There is also a large gravel pull-off area to park at the Raven Ridge trailhead. Virtually no one uses this section of trail, so you can enjoy a very quiet trek through the woods.
