A great trail to go on during a hot sunny day because of all the tree cover you get. Took the inner trails which run around near the lake. An easy walk with well kept trails.

I took 2 dogs on this trail and managed it pretty easily. There was plenty of access to water for cooling off and loads of shade on the trail. Pretty cool hike!

Nice easy trail for young children or pregnant adults.

Very nice trail, although not as much lake as the photos suggest. Mostly forested, well marked, great hike for a hot day.

Disagree about the "all skill levels", but is great for a weekend run or ride. Great spot for families. Connects Durant nature park.

Nice quick recreational area. Connects to Durant greenway trail. Good for weekend bikers and family walks

Loveee this trail! You see so many cool things along the way! Worth it and quite a work out!

Easy hike. Very quiet and hidden park. Lots of little trails that are all connected, made it easier with the pups to venture down other trails to avoid the traffic.

It is a black topped trail, great for all ages to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

Raleigh Greenway Trail is also known as Simms Branch Trail, part of the Raleigh Capital Area Greenway System. To delineate the two, I added a review for the Durant Nature Preserve on the Simms Branch Trail. The paved Raleigh Greenway is a great walking or biking trail, connecting Cub Trail/Finley Ridge Lane to Leslieshire Drive with one road crossing. The trail slopes down from Cub Trail to Leslieshire... a good access point is from Durant Nature Preserve at the north entrance. The trail follows along Simms Branch which is a nice creek. The shorter part of the trail gets hilly on the east side of Durant Nature Preserve access point. Really good for a bike ride.
