great trail and beautiful waterfalls. would love to come back when it's a bit warmer

Very nice trail, gravel pathways and great falls. Would come back when it’s warm enough to wade in the water, it looks very clean! Very steep in some areas, had port-a-potty’s, somehow missed the “loop” part? ended up just turning around and coming back the same way I came

This is mostly an easy trail, with a few inclines mixed in to make it a little more moderate. I’d call it “low moderate.” But, it’s a really beautiful trail and we really enjoyed hiking it. If you like waterfalls then this is definitely the hike for you. There are a lot of little side trails that take you right near the falls. It was fun and not to strenuous.

Enjoyable walk on sunny Sunday afternoon with Lucy. A little muddy off the trail from all the rain lately but trail was in great shape. Not as lush as later in the spring, but all the falls were pretty spectacular with the high water levels!

Very crowded! Beautiful waterfall and well cared for trail. One steep section.

Very easy trail from parking lot. Beautiful sandy banks on a calm river with a small waterfall in the background.

absolutely gorgeous day for a beautiful hike

The best of the waterfalls in Dupont State park in my opinion. Easy dayhike.

Easy hike, well maintained trail and is suitable for ALL ages. Great day hike for the family.

Nice easy day hike that is good for the whole family. Easy graded trails that are maintained very well, probably one of the best areas in North Carolina to see waterfalls. Great little spot for a day trip.

Nice walk. Beautiful falls!!!

I avoided Burnt Mountain because my baby carrier wasn’t adjusted properly so I wanted to cut it short. The other half of the trail was beautiful. You get some views, but nothing too spectacular. However, that’s easily brought to a new level by all the beautiful the rock in combination with the o real beauty of DuPont . It’s pretty wet and slippery on the rocks, but there’s usually a padding of pine needles on the side if you need more traction.
If, like me, you’re not very observant ... the trail starts across the street from the parking lot.

Easy stroll to see a beautiful waterfall. Lots of people on such a beautiful day. If you want a longer jaunt, start by the visitors center and do High Falls Loop all the way to Hooker Falls. Will bring the in-laws to do this one.

Great trail to get my husband hooked on hiking. 3.3 miles if you connect to the trail to go see Hooker Falls. Wide open paths, scenic waterfalls. Happened to be a unusually beautiful day for mid-February so there were tons of people out on the trail. Able to hike to the base of each waterfall, the climb back up was not too bad. Will do again.

Two stream crossings first one rock hip. Bridge out down by Lake have to cross at Horse Ford downstream some rocks with 3 inches water over them no boots mean wet feet.

Great hike and three incredible waterfalls in a 2 hour hike can’t be beat!

It’s a great hike if you’re with children or just wanting to take it easy. It’s a pretty easy hike with few good views. It seems like a really fun place to mountain bike for sure.

We arrived @ 4p and there was ample parking. Easy hike. Well-groomed trail. Take the TH out of the south side of p-lot. Go right at first junction. You'll see a sign for horseback riders. Walk until you see a trail break of to the left, marked with 2 large rocks. Follow until you see 2 more large rocks. Go left onto the same trail you started on (you just took a shortcut). You'll see signs for the falls as you progress. Basically keep going left. A small incline to get to the actual waterfall.

super easy trail with a beautiful waterfall! kids ages 6 and 8 loved it, as well as the dog

Careful in the last half mile, very rocky so be sure of your footing.

Gorgeous, most impressive waterfalls I've ever seen. Very very busy on weekends, so expect that. Maintained and heavily traveled.

Labeled as strenuous but really more moderate. Excellent views, worth the hike.

Trail was wide and obstacle free. Paths to get a better view of the Falls was just worn paths by foot traffic and a little dicey. The short trail to Triple Falls was straight down, which means going back up, was straight up. Overall, I agree the hike was moderate. I only started recording when I got to Triple Falls, so you can add on about another mile. Plenty of people had dogs and small children.

Great trail and beautiful waterfalls. Not difficult, but muddy, icy in some areas and very busy even on a cold winter weekend day. I would definitely recommend it for the natural beauty of the multiple waterfalls.

Nice walk. Take the side trail to the river for some good scenery.

Last of the Mohicans!!! Great trail for visitors. Beautiful sites and waterfalls to be seen. Great for a trail run.
