I couldn’t find most of this Trail.

The wife and I have been walking this trail with our 2 dogs since we moved to Goldsboro 8 months ago, and it’s our favorite place to go. Well taken care of trail and even ran into trail maintenance today (clearing trails of dangerous roots and brush.) Beautiful trail all year round!

Great hike, views are awesome.

It was my first time to this state park. I chose this load because of the distance for a trail run/hike. I went on a partially sunny day, and the trail conditions we’re pretty awesome. Nothing was wet, no rain the couple days prior. Well Mark pass for about the first 2/3 of it. For the last third of this loop, the trail is soon as clear as the rest of it. I recommend downloading the Maps for recording your hike so you can stay on track. Do you have to cut through a parking lot across a small green meadow, and you end up going left at the tire tracks closer to the end.

I like this application

Trail were very nice and well maintained and the over look of the river was beautiful. The lake has a diving board which is pretty awesome! Very friendly park staff, very much so recommend.

loved it .took the grandkids and they loved it too. great hike

cliffs of the neuse is a great place to hike . loved it

Dog friendly trail, nice view on the overlook

Excellent place to hike and there is a pond for prattle boating

This hike consisted of a combination of three trails in Cliffs of the Neuse State Park near LaGrange,NC.- Lake Shore, Spanish Moss and Longleaf. The high lite of the hike is the over look of the Neuse River up on the cliffs and then along the lake shore of the recreational lake. The trail is fairly flat and well marked traversing mostly through woods. The Lakeshore trail is the longest and was the prettiest. Along the shorter Spanish Moss trail there are some steep descents and accents. You can go down to the river along here. Totally combined it was approximately 8 miles.

I did it with my hubby during the morning and it was nice... I love walking in the middle of nature

Great trail. Took my grandchildren. and had a great hike. loved it.

Great trail for the family especially for younger kids. Easy trails and theyre not to long. If your looking for something a little more serious your not missing much if you pass on this trail. It's more suited for picnics and family time.

Easy trail, was a little crowded on a Saturday

Great trail

The Lake Trail at Cliffs of the Neuse is a very smooth trail meandering through the woods and by the lake and boathouse. Very pretty, however the trail is not at all marked well. There are no trail markers nor is it on any of the permanent maps at the park.

A nice walk but not a lot of panoramic views like you get with some of the other river trails in this area. An easy walk overall.

Nice and easy

Enjoyed it!

Had a great time on the trail all to myself and my dogs on Christmas morning!

This area is a great place to hike. Plenty of hills and great scenery that will give you a killer workout with great views. Great place to bring your dog. Stay away from the water unless it is the lake area. The lake area is fairly clean BUT the Neuse River is nothing but a septic tank now. I don't even let my dog get near the water unless its the lake. This place would get five stars if it were not for how nasty the water is. Don't get caught with your dog in the lake. The Park Officials frown on that and will ask you to leave...

It is a wonderful hike! Let me just say the trails are easy but the side trails are "moderate". Needless to say o was able to get in about a 7 mile hike total. It is gorgeous and bugs are minimal. Just get a map because the trails can become somewhat tricky when they all intersect.

The Bird trail at Cliffs of the Neuse State Park is a short loop that starts from the Galax trail or the bottom of the 350 yard trail. The trail climbs to a hill that is not really a cliff but does go along the Neuse River for a short way. Didn't see any birds but the habitat definitely will attract them in warmer weather. Not a great trail, but add it to the others at the State Park to get a better workout. One thing about these trails, they are hard packed smooth sand with not many roots, and have several staircases. Great for trail running.
