Nice hike through a working educational forest. The maps app will try to take you into a neighborhood that borders the forest property, but the real entrance is off Old Hwy 70 and up the gravel entrance road. The trail area is closed for winter mtce from December to March, and opens at 11AM on the weekends. There is something for everyone, the Talking Tree and Talking Rock trails are great for kids, and the Demo and Watershed trails are great for some distance and getting away from the crowd. The exhibits are interesting and informative. Encounter wildlife, flowers, streams, woods, open areas, a pond, short steep and long gradual climbs, overall is an easy set of fire roads and single track trails. Well maintained and well marked, this set of trails is worth a visit.

Excellent easy and very accessible park. God’s for family with all ages.

More isolated hiking than very busy Lake Johnson or Umstead. A few intense grades, but pretty level hiking with less of the eroded roots & rocks of Johnson & Umstead.

This park is amazing. I absolutely loved this park and the trails.

With a the tree cover it's a great place to hike in warm weather. Be aware park doesn't open till 11:00 am on weekends

Before you drive out there, sign at gate says that park is closed until March for winter maintenance.

This place is in a wooded, very lonely residential community, more specifically, it is directly in someone's backyard. We did not feel welcome to exit our car no less walk upon the property. We will not return, and we do not recommend this place to people with children.

Well maintained and easy to explore!

Great little hiking trails. Beautiful and easy. Love the rocks that talk about geology.

Pretty scenic walk through the woods and loved the talking trees and rocks. There is more than just the 1 mile loop (longer trail about 8 miles and a lake w/gazebo). Good family fun and dog friendly.

Clemmons is a favorite place. The orange trail is the best...just enough diversity in terrain to give a good work2.

Love the red trail it's great
