Nice easy walk. We came in early November, the paths were very colorful. There was a 15 degree swing in temperature inside the cave (55 outside) which was pretty neat to experience. Really well kept, and the primitive camp sites were nicely laid out with a wonderful canopy of hardwoods overhead. I'll definitely be coming back to camp and explore some more in the future!

A fun trail with a lovely view of the Yadkin. Easy enough for a 4 year old. VERY buggy though! Every time we stopped we were swarmed by mosquitoes. I would love to come back in the fall once the mosquitoes die off.

the trail is closed due to wash out however you can get around the washed out par with out much trouble rhey told me that they are working on making another route. other than that it us a great trail definitely bring water ther is a big hill.

Very nice trails, always up and down. Good workout. I had more trouble going down (slipping) than doing up. Happy to have my trekking pole with me AND my bug spray. Nearly pulled out the gnat net, but made it through without it!

Very nice trails. Marked well and clean! Bring your bug spray with you. You will want to reapply on the trail. Saw NO ONE all day till I made it back to the cave.

This was the muddiest of the trails, but still completely passable. Don't just spray your bug spray before taking off, bring it with you! You will need it! Nice little state park. I enjoyed the day hiking most of the trails.

The cave was fun! I hiked in a giant circle, hitting all of the trails except Backcountry. I'll go back and do that one A little muddy to the cottonwood tree but easily passable. The trails were well maintained, freshly weed-eated and plenty of signage. I will go back to complete Backcountry Trail, Saw squirrels, a turtle in the river and a snake along the trail. It was a little black snake, so no big deal.

Excellent trail with the kids! Well-built easy steps and access down to the cave. Wet conditions for our hike but no impassable muddy areas of the trail. Cave was fun to explore. We arrived close to closing hours but were permitted by the very friendly ranger to go ahead. Couldn’t have enjoyed our hike more!

This park didn’t show up on the dog friendly list however i did call and they are, so I went for a walk with the pup and it was a beautiful place
