Nice 2 mile paved trail around the lake. The trail itself is easy and wide enough for passing foot track and bicyclists. It has restrooms and offers scented doggy bags through the trail. I have found it to be most busy in the morning into the early afternoon with joggers and swift walkers. Best time I've discovered to go with less traffic is around happy hour, apparently priorities change in NC as the day goes on :) Its a great trail if you want a glimpse of wildlife. I've seen deer, otters, loons, cranes, and turtles near the bank. It also has a couple of nature trails off of the paved trail if you're one of those, as I am, who desire to take the path less traveled.

Nice and mostly shaded trail around the lake. Not too crowded on weekdays.

Super easy. Paved as well as natural trails with gorgeous views. Typically pretty busy, though, regardless of the time of day.

Easy and pretty. Good place for a leisurely stroll.

There is an unpaved nature trail that is around 1/2 mile long. Lots of wildlife for a small, busy park.

Good for middle of apex

Good lake for being in the middle of Apex. Very busy however but well maintained with asphalt walking surface. There is currently construction nearby so very noisy at points. The dock is very nice and relatively new.

Gentle, meditative trail.

Great view and adequate length for leisure walk.

The trail is nice, except it can get very busy and noisy. I have avoided because of obnoxious people not wanting to enjoy nature, talking loudly on their phone. We have seen some interesting wildlife here, especially snakes.

Perfect trail for a nice walk or run 2 miles around a lake, all paved, well-maintained; good trail to keep in shape! We parked at the Lake Pine Road entrance. In addition to two miles of developed trail and 1 mile of undeveloped trails through the woods, this park has 3 ball fields and 2 batting cages, 2 soccer fields, 3 sand volleyball courts, 6 tennis courts, 4 basketball courts (1 fenced for roller hockey), a childs playground and swings (ages 2-12) and full restroom facilities; it now also allows kayaks and paddleboards. Check it out!
