Great trail. Moderate (-) intensity. Shaded. Nice water and creek views.

Wow! What a beautiful well marked trail! We started at the Preserve and enjoyed a little fairy house trail on our way to Connect to the Mountain to Seas trail !

Slightly muddy from rain previous night. Well shaded and marked.

It was a great trail but be sure to go not after it’s rained all week. I got about half way & the creek had flooded out the trail. Couldn’t get to the lake. Also this was probably more like a 4 to 4.5 mile trail because my in & out registered 2 miles & I only did about half the trail.

Nice walk along streams, wildflowers. Mostly in the shade, with room enough to step off trail to let others pass to maintain 6-foot distancing. Trail has lots of roots and is well maintained.

really enjoyed this relatively short loop. a couple of decent hills and a few sections with some pretty aggressive roots and rocks, but manageable by all ages with really beautiful scenery. the parking lot off falls fills up quickly on the weekend, so get there early

Beautiful.

My family took a little road trip from VA to check out this trail. It was the perfect adventure for our family. We have an 8 year old and 4 year old. They held up great and always had something new to explore around the corner! The creeks were a hit!

Great trail for hiking .

I would definitely recommend this trail to anyone. Not to much elevation change and good distance. completed in 3 hrs. Couple of bridge crossings and not rocky at all.

One of our new favorites! Fun for kids & dogs!

What color is this trail Marked?

Took Honeycutt trail the other day to Neuse River. Lots of variation between forest, water, open space, wildflowers, interesting plants, etc. then today tried Epp Forest; which was mostly Forest. All in all nice little nature getaways!

This was a really nice hike. The elevation change was medium but it was very pretty as it flowed around ridges and followed along streams. Definitely a nice place to go for a hike. There are a few houses along the hike, particularly early in the hike, but it still feels pretty secluded.

Nice views of the lake and gentle elevation changes. Trails well marked. A nice way to get outside during Covid.

Good. Moderate. Some elevation. Rootie.

Moderate trail. Not too many people. Nice views. Would recommend.

I started out beforesun came out, then it never came out! LOL. Terrific March morning in NC. Clear trail, well marked, beat the crowd. Will do again!

Delightful jaunt through the forest. Some uneven surfaces and magic bridges. Started through a fairy garden, with fanciful tree formations, then got a little more rustic. Lovely lake views.

This is becoming on of my favorite trails. The Honeycutt section from Raven Ridge to Durant is excellent.

can get crowded on weekends but a nice trail, with a creek, forest and the lake!

Really had fun on this trail but be prepared for lots or roots along the way. Well marked and quiet even though it is right behind a neighborhood!!!

Great trail !!!

Lovely views of the lake. Nice elevation changes. The surface of this trail is outstanding. There are lots of places to stop and play in streams or take in the view if you’re with a group who likes to putter. There’s a restroom at the Falls Lake visitor center if you need a pit stop.

Very nice trail near Falls Lake. We took a side detour to the Wilkerson nature preserve. The visitor center was about half way, it had nice facilities and a good view of the dam.

Very cool! Loops around part of Falls Lake and a cute little stream with a waterfall. Also attached to many other trails. A few houses can be seen but it doesn’t take away from the experience.
