It was a relatively flat walk. First part was across a long bridge then into the woods on wood chip covered trails. Nice walk out and back.

You have a view of the Genesee river through the trees. And at the end of the trail is stairs that go down to be able to see the cascading waterfalls. One of the boards on the stairs is loose. Overall a nice walk. Not a hard walk as described.

nice park, but some of it is now underwater.

Great trail, very beautiful, well maintained and a lot of variety of routes. Not sure why it's listed as difficult. If you go down to see the falls coming back up is slightly more difficult but it's well maintained stairs. It's also completely avoidable if necessary and the rest of the trails are generally flat.

Uh, not scenic. Ok trail, sketchy is some areas (over bridge across river heading to lower falls).

I have no idea why this trail is rated hard. It is a good hike with great views of the river and a few opportunities to get down to the shoreline. We went from the pond in the park north to the O'Rorke bridge and back - abt 6 miles total. Some wide trail and some single track. Cheers!

Easy, short hike. The falls were nice but overall it's not a trail we would do again. As other reviewers noted there were a number of used syringes on the ground as well as condoms, broken glass and other trash. We didn't see any caves but from the pictures it seems it may be on the other side of the river.

The views here were great and my husband really enjoyed exploring the cave. But it is the city of Rochester and there were several syringes laying on the ground when we got out of the car. Freaked me out a little since we had our kids with us.

Wilderness in the city! You can get waterfront access to the base of the lower falls via the fishing access trail, then take the seth green trail to woods, completely wild seth green island and an expanse of river rocks that makes you feel like you're out west. If you live in the city, it's a pretty great experience.

The trail itself is really cool for being located in downtown Rochester. But it's also located in downtown Rochester, so if you're trying to have a true wilderness experience, I wouldn't get your hopes up. That being said, still an awesome trail! The cave is the best part.

You have to go through the zoo gates, so I feel it was a safe place for a hike. I wouldn't rate it a difficult hike by any means. The surrounding area has a paved sidewalk and places to park. this hiking trail is dirt, and there are some stairs to take down river side. A few stairs are broken, and the decked walkway over the marsh is grown over and not maintained. Areas surrounding are clean, and otherwise well maintained.

I found this place on a website called NY Falls. This place was under "Norton's Falls." After posting pictures on Facebook, I had a friend tell me she didn't go here due to suspicious activity, etc., which is why I'll give it 4 stars. My car was the only one in the lot , and the only person we saw was in a wheelchair at the senior living center. When we left, there were some fisherman pulling in. The trail zigzags down to the Genesee River, with a moderate gradient. If you plan on scaling the falls, I would consider this a difficult trail. There is a cave that is accessible, which we didn't go through, if you're feeling adventurous and have a good flashlight you could probably go in. Oh, and bring some good footwear that is okay to get wet. Down by the river, you can see the 104 bridge, with a beautiful reflection on the water. The falls tricks down into a rock bed, which is also fun to climb on. We went late morning. There is a sign when you enter the trail stating the trail was once frequently used by Native Americans. I hope that this place stays clean and remains safe for anyone that wants to explore this beautiful hidden gem in Rochester.

Nice little trail considering its location. Wish the hood rats picked up after themselves.

Beautiful walk and lovely falls. Too bad some people decided to leave garbage all over the place at the foot of the falls, though.
